  1. G'day Guys,I've had a few requests for instructions on how to tie my prawn fly so here's a couple of little videos I made for the whole process. Hope you have fun with it.Cheers DarrenPART 1http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9976101&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" PART 2http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9978179&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1"

  3. G'day Snapps,I tie them wieghted and unwieghted aswell as the dumbell eyes to flip them over and skip along the bottom. The internally wieghted ones have 7 turns of thin lead wire in them near the midsection to the tail. This helps to get them to balance and sink in a natural looking manner.I tie them from size 6 through to 3/0.As far as spares lying around, well the way these things have been getting smacked lately I'm having trouble keeping up with just tying some for my replacements. The mullies I've been getting lately have a real liking for them too , come on April as I'm looking forward

  5. Thanks guys,These can be tied to swim hook point up as the one in the pic.Great to throw into snags :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: .Cheers Darren

  7. I've been playing around with Liquid Fusion and some plastic sheet material and knocking up some of my favourite flies to fish with. I've been getting a few School Mulloway and Bream with them so the fish think they're alright too.The Liquid Fusion is a great substitute for epoxy and gives the flies a real soft feel but it's still tough and stays clear ( well so far but it's looking good).Anyway here's a few pics.Cheers Darren
  8. See Mike we can teach you Poms about more than just cricket, we can teach you how to catch big fish too Tightlines mate .By the way, very nice gesture Damo .Cheers Darren
  9. I haven't caught anything worth photographing lately .Pretty sad hey .Cheers Darren
  10. I hate fireline in lighter poundage but have used it in 20lb and found it useable. I only use Super PE for all my lighter gear and have never had a problem with it. Great stuff and not as dear as some others.Cheers Darren

Come on Nick give us more than a wishlist I know what's happened, your young fella has got more than you on fly and your sulking .BONEFISH are at the top of my wishlist and if I get my way I might be able to scratch that off very soon. 18. jagger wrote: Jagger,I've caught Rainbow Trout on lures and Callop on lures but this list is just what I've caught flyfishing .Locally my favourite is still Big Bream and I still need to get a Big Snapper and Mulloway. Bream are just so sneaky .Sandy that's a good list, especially from the shore .Cheers Darren
  19. G'day guys,I'm wondering how many of you keep a list of what you catch on your chosen style of fishing. I don't keep fish very often but as far as when I'm flyfishing I do keep a check and list of what species I have caught. I'd be interested to see if any of you do the same and what you have caught on you chosen style (spin, lure, bait, fly, game e.t.c.).Here's where my Flyfishing list is up to and I hope to add a few more to it soon, like Murray Cod and Callop and I really want a Flathead . 21. Highfly wrote: G'day Nick,I've come up with a new prawn/shrimp pattern that I use on bream and the mullies liked it too. Like I said though mate they were only small (49cms) so it was just like catching a big trout The good ole 4wt is a versatile tool Cheers Darren
  22. Got out in the kayak yesterday for some flyfishing fun and ended up with 3 little mullies on the 7wt and 3 little mullies on the 4wt. They weren't big fish by any stretch of the imagination but on the 4wt they went wild. Good fun and great weather, what more could you asked for. All fish were photographed and released .Cheers Darren
