  1. Depends what you are fishing for mate but generally I use a 9 foot leader with 6lb tippet for bream and whiting. If they are shy lengthen the leader to 12 foot and tippet out with 4lb. I also only use flurocarbon leaders and tippet. Hope that helps.Cheers Dazz
  2. Spotlight mate, they sell all sorts of shit for tying. Another thing to try if you want to is get some bungie cord and take off the outer cover, thousands of little round bits of rubber in there to use. This is an old flytiers trick from an old flytier Cheers Dazz
  3. One of them is Which one Cheers Dazz
  4. Oops!!! I forgot to report back. I christened the Itchy-Twitchy last weekend on a 500mm Mulloway. It was blowing it's tits off but I had no problem with wind knots and 6lb Super PE so I also found the micro guides ok!I liked the way the outfit casts and handles fish, it gets a great bend in it but there is still enough power to roll the fish over and get him coming where you want him. I reckon I might get a couple more, maybe the Pinster for soft plastics and the Drunknmonkey for small surface lures.I like them and it feels like you have no weight in your hand at all when casting all day.Cheer
  5. Got a 2000 for it mate, I'll let you all know how it goes.Cheers Dazz
  6. I bought the Itchy-Twitchy today, oh and a new Freams to go with it Shit those micro guides are small, going to fish it over the weekend so lets hope the fish play right Cheers Dazz
  7. G'day Brenton,Mate I thought exactly that when I saw the rod, not too sure about the micro guides myself.Plankton,I'd appreciate your thoughts mate when you get a chance to fish with it, thanks.Cheers Dazz
  8. Yeah guys they look quite good and I can't build one for that price either. Love some feedback about them.Cheers Dazz
  9. Hey guys,Does anybody own or use one of these rods and what are they like. Looking at the Itchy Twitchy and the Drunknmonkey for a couple of reasonably priced outfits. Any thoughts or opinions welcome as I've never used either of them, only played with them in the shop.Cheers Dazz
  10. That's what happens when you do NAUGHTY THINGS to your reels   Good looking kids though Cheers Dazz
  11. Nicely done mate, wait until we get those set up on my boat for a bit of Snapper on fly action Cheers Dazz
  12. I've created a MONSTER    Cheers Dazz
  13. I only use Sunline Super PE mate so I don't know whether Finns is different diameter but I have 300 meters of 40lb on mine which then leaves enough room for my Rio Bonefish or Camolux intermediate line to fit on top. Cheers Dazz
  14. Now you know why I told you that color looks so coooooool    I nearly bought it myself but they have some new stuff coming out soon that I might get Suffer my friend your addiction has only just begun :laugh:Enjoy and Happy Birthday .Cheers Dazz
  15. I went today and took the missus, biggest waste of $30.00 I've had in a long time. The Hobie stand was good and I enjoyed catching up with Greg Lewis for a chat as I hadn't seen him for a while.Pitmans didn't even have their new Quinnie Renegade on display, which was one of the reasons I went there to see it. Oh well, at least I took the missus somewhere out of the house for our 28th wedding anniversary and I'm still in the good books Have a chat with Greg if you go to the Hobie display, he's a great bloke but I won't go to another one of these shows as they are crap.Cheers Dazz
  16. Kill, they make good Snapper burley .Cheers Dazz
  17. HEATHENS Only joking boys, Mate anything is possible with a fly attached to you rig. Look at those surf poppers that they use on Salmon, they are just flies tied above a weighted section. As long as you can get a fly into the mix it will work. I just choose to do it with the appropriate gear Cheers Dazz
  18. Thanks TT your welcome mate.Nick these ones won't be getting out there to the public until I win the next SABT ;)I'm not happy with second place so December will be make or break Thanks for the positive feedback fellas and I'll see you on the water Nick Cheers Dazz
  19. Too easy mate.Cheers Dazz
  20. Ben where you are fishing for Snapper it would be a very viable proposition, especially with the berley trail going and a nice Squid pattern fly. Bream are great fun from the yak on fly, many a time I have been dragged into a snag by them. They are one fun fish to catch.Good luck.Cheers Dazz
  21. Mal it all depends. Some flies can be weighted and be able to be cast on a very light spin out fit. I have never done it but I have tied plenty of flies heavy enough to be cast. You probably wouldn't be able to impart the same action into the fly as you can with a flyrod but it could be done. Hope that answers your question.Cheers Dazz
  22. Ben these are far too light to throw on spin tackle mate. You might have to get yourself a flyrod Cheers Dazz
  23. And a floater for the Topwater action.Cheers Dazz
  24. Just adding to the Bream box for the coming season, bring on a bit of warm Cheers Dazz
  25. Well done Nick, bloody Photobucket died on me today as well. I think they have problems.Don't let other peoples opinions worry you mate that was a nice release. Now next time get us some footage of the take Good stuff.Cheers Dazz
