People regularly have the problems with the datum of the map and the GPS not being the same, meaning that grid references and your location do not correspond. In many navigation situations it doesn't matter because the difference be less than 200m but if you are trying to go to a waypoint you have set from the map or got from somebody else, it is a nice annoying hole to fall in. The GPS will tell you you are in the right spot but there is nothing there Maps either use AGD94 or ADG94 or ADG66 or WGS84 datum and I think this mainly corresponds to the age of the map except GNSS who like to use

  13. Once again do some researchAll and I mean all of the alternatives contain fish oilno brainer to know where they get fish oil fromlike I said aquaculture has put unbearable demands on wild fisheries so much so that some countries can no longer sustain themselves on their wild fish catch because countries like Australia and USA have robbed them of their pilchards etc for aquacultureIm talking about countries along the east coast of Africa Do some research
  14. you want to do some research buddy before making wild statements like that  research is showing that aquaculture is increasing pressure on wild fishesjust look at pilchards and how many tonnes go to aquaculturethe australian catch cant keep up the supply so now they import them as wellever wonder where all the tommies have gone well ic an tell youthey use spotlights to attract the pilchards for nettingthey attract the tommies as well and they are netted as well

  16. Well I wasnt going to bring your heritage into it but seeing you have mentioned it I believe you to be a russian spy :woohoo: intent on pushing the russian GLONNAS system to the detriment of the American GPS system which we in Australia use not withstanding the European Galileo system nor the chinese beidou system You wont succeed we are onto you :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
  17. An information only post on GNSS  GNSS = Global Navigation Satellite SystemGLONASS is the Russian version of the US-run GPS system. It was designed as a standalone system, however the number of operational satellites has restricted usage to that of supplementing the GPS system.GLONASS development began in 1976 with a goal of achieving global coverage by 1991Following completion, the system rapidly fell into disrepair with the collapse of the Russian economyRussia committed to restoring the system in 2000In recent years Russia has diversified the program’s development by introduc
