red_devil94 4
Hi guys, I recently saw K-Mart had a special on fishing tackle so i got new line, a few various bits of tackle, and a lure. I don't usually fish with hard-bodys/metals whatever they're called, so but I'm pretty I get the theory Anyway, its a Halco Sliced Sparkler, 5g. I got the smallest size, because I can only only ever manage small fish, and I thought it might be better if they're being picky. What sort of terrain should I be using this in? I was thinking of around the mangroves and shallow mudflats to target ST's? It also says on the packaging, Tommy's? Has anyone ever caught Tommy's on a lure and had success? It looks like this, except mine has a red sticker instead....
Mr_Willy 3
Caught thousands of tommies on a lure exactly like that.... They love them!Anything that feeds on small whitebait, etc. would be keen on muching it!
Damo mully 0
They look a bit like the halco twisty for salmon so iam guessing it would work on them also bud. 4THALOVE

red_devil94 4
Thanks Guys. I'm think of attempting to stop being so lazy and actually making the hike out to the end of the St Kilda breakwater rocks, or else the rockwall at the entrance to North Haven marina, both good places for SalmonTrout, or so I've been told. The other possibility is a squid sesh down at Brighton, probably friday afternoon or for a Saturday night session after work!
southie THE BANGA 2,304
tommies, st's, snook, even trout/reddies would have a crack at them
