Elly Shark needed for the bucket list, shore based?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,I'm desperately keen to catch up with an Elly, preferably Adelaide Metro if possible or any points South as far as Goolwa?Any hints on the four "T's"; Tackle, Times, Tides and Tactics would be awesome and I'm not asking for your secret locations, a general area would be fine as I've got time to burn to catch my first ever Elly due to being retired ;)Luv to get a PM from anyone able to help? ;) Cheers, tonyb.

I managed to hook one (probably 60-70cm long) off Henley beach a couple of weeks ago while chasing Mullet.Rising tide, about 2-3pm, and took a piece of Slimy Mackerel on a size 10 hook :P Wasn't trying for them obviously, but did have a fair bit of burley in the water at the time!

Yep' date=' it was Wildcoast issue 11 in 2010.If you need a scan, I can help you out.[/quote']Cheers for the heads up on that one Phil, you just jogged my memory and I do have all the Wildcoast Mags from issue one. Time for a bit more homework methinks ;) Cheers also Kingsley because my head is up my Freshwater a*se I didn't think of looking back at old strikehook posts (as I tell everyone else to do who wants some advice  )AND thanks Boomer for sharing mate B)Thanks Divito, I fancied that Basham's would be the go to, but an hours drive at either end of the trip down there could maybe be better spent fishing locally mate? :) Sounds like the go is a soft bait like a pilly with a fair bit of burley in the suds to get them interested? :fishing::fishing::fishing:
