Scissors 308
I need a few Squid heads for bait and I was wondering how much they cost? I hope it isn't more than a couple of dollars each. Oh and I am talking about Australian squid, none of the bag squid rubbish. Cheers

davidbloop 0
yep, too muchI'd suggest catching some yourself they're fairly easy to catch, plus you can eat the rest or keep the entire thing for extra bait.

Fishie 98
none of the bag squid rubbish. CheersNothing wrong with the bagged squid heads.... I bagout on snapper each week using them and those from this site that come with me will vouch the sameI bought a couple of packs last week and got charged $9.80 a pack but I reckon that is on the dear side. If you want to use the heads for snapper your best to leave them out of the fridge for awhile so they get a bit stinky and full of flavour and give the fish a chance to swallow the head before striking or you'll pull the hooks

Scissors 308
Guys I would love to head down to my local jetty and catch a squid but that just isn't possible. The closest place to be that has squid is 100km away ($40 in petrol up and back). I want the Squid heads more for whiting bait than Snapper. Thanks for your help guys. kayakfisher 0
Then just everytime you are fishing for whiting hang a jag over the back of the boat. They normally hang around similar areas and so you should be able to catch enough to keep you going. Especially if your using them for whiting.
