salt water yabbies (nippers)

to be honest m8 in south aus i couldnt say for sure but im guessin if there anything like the same from the east coast head for the sand flats on low tide with a nipper pump we used too get loads of em in nsw but ive never looked for em here im just guessin it wilol be the same scenario here as they always live on the sand flats cheers ,MM

just walk along the beach and look for the holes in the shallows. usually a dark mound. then pump in the general area, as said, if they are there they will come to the surface and you can scoop them up.watch out for their big claw, it does hurt ;)I've said this many times, you can pump them inside the o'sullies boat ramp too. but not sure if they are still there after the dredging that was done, but worth a look.nippers do not keep and go all mushy once dead, so its best to keep them alive in a bucket using a battery powered aerator from an aquarium shop.
