Seven year old Bailey was out fishing with Pa Rod Scharfe in Proper Bay recently when he caught the nice whiting he is holding up in the photograph. Cockles proved Bailey’s secret weapon in keeping up with his Pa and he has earned many more trips out fishing in the boat. Gunyah Beach is now Tamika Short’s favourite fishing beach. 13-year-old Tamika is holding up a brace of salmon, the first she ever caught. Kon the ads are generated by Google, to decide what ads are displayed Google looks at your browser cookies and any search info it can get from you, I have a feeling it also targets ads at a general demographic of the site, e.g. males between a certain age. It's possible Google has also looked at keywords used on the site to see where we fit in.For example I see a lot of ads for fishing, web servers, printing, vehicle insurance and health, these are all things I've searched for and visited pages relating to.

While there is a very important political side to rec fishing in South Australia let's try to keep this topic on track.At the moment in this thread we look like a bunch of fisherman that don't want to help science even though it may be the contrary. It can be a double edged sword there's no doubt about that and perhaps I'm too naive when it comes to science passing on potentially malleable data to politicians but if we don't help the scientists with accurate data who will?We can discuss the politics in another thread ;)By the way Dr Donnellan is a fisho

We've had a request from Professor Stephen Donnellan from the South Australian Museum regarding information on the Magpie Fiddler.Professor Donnellan said there was a photo on Strike & Hook quite a few years ago of a possible Magpie Fiddler, I've had a look at the link to the photo and it no longer exists as far as I can see on the server.If anyone can remember the photo, has a copy or knows who posted up the photo it would be very valuable information for the South Australian Museum and they would love to hear from you.The request is below, including a photo of the second only Magpie Fidd

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. I haven't replenished/upgraded my dismal soft plastics collection yet but will definitely be looking into what has been suggested, I might also try a few weird colours and styles just to see if they work also
