  2. Looks too slender to be a silver trevally, but the tail looks similar to an trev..... But the slenderness looks like a rat kingy...... Hard to say...

  4. I have some american style ribs i was going to smoke tomorrow but work has called me in FML......
  5. So here is whats in the smoker today....... Pretty basic just been in brine of water, brown sugar and salt for 8 hours. The rub is basic (chicken salt,pepper, BBQ seasoning) peanut oil so it sticks Its halfway through smoking at the moment will put a pic up once finished!
  6. The final product.... These taste Amazing!!! Spicy but juicy and succulent!!
  7. Great thing about this smoker is that its portable so i can take it anywhere with me with little effort!

  9. Hahaha yeh they were good mate Nah ive always wanted one.... I love me Smoked chicken wings and there so hard to find at butchers these days so i thought stuff it why not hahha Cant wait to make different things, smoked apple pies, smoky tomato sauce and bbq..... Chicken beef pork you name it ill give it a crack!
  10. So a spur of the moment thinking while I was bored at work see me buy this Hark Patio Gas smoker...... Cant wait to test it out!! Its seasoning as we speak ready to be used on the weekend!! So if you have any ideas or recipes send it over and im sure I will give them a try!

  13. Fishing Wholesalers sell them Daiwa presso rods.... There a nice bit of kit for around the $120 mark....
  14. Can i suggest if your are fishing primarily landbased investing in a loner rod? say around the 7'6-8ft mark.... Better casting soft tip for feeling bites etc.... daiwa air edge do a 7'6 1-3kg, also daiwa seabass do an 8ft 1-3 kg rod... certainly a nice rod and good price tooo

  17. Well I have been dabbling in a bit of fly fishing of late, mainly in dams and streams for trout and reddies and im really enjoying it... Soo much soo that I have set myself up a task that This summer unless im live baiting the spin gear will be kept at home and I will be using FLY ONLY all summertime! I have just bought myself an 9ft 6wt Templefork outfitters rod and will be matching it with an TFO BVK2 reel spooled up with 6wt WF rio perception line!   18. Damn, I almost tried Hallet Cove today for a landbased salmon/squid session. Might have to break out the kayak next weekend. Thanks Southie. The blokes that took there yaks out around there have done much better than what the landbased fishos have...
