ill ask my uncle and cousin as they both live down there.. keen fishos aswell. my uncle is an a class sparky on the tug boats and does all the fishing vessels and what not im sure hed hear some inside info.... ill let ya know what i can dig up..

i hate finns braid... so any wind knots no strength what so ever... i use the rovex viros braid and love it... all my rells with braid on them are now spooled with the stuff...I have heard the cheaper end ebay braid is killer stuff???? any thoughts on this

as far as i know they are still there.... i might go have a gander 2morrow after work and have a flick of some lures...

itll take time man... there are many of us on here that have many a failed trips before we got what we wanted.... comes down to that patients again

if ur ever keen on a fish dwn there.. im always wanting to man... as mentioned i have sussed a few spots out on my sounder in my yak and would be happy to try help u out...

i always chop n change ,my jags... all depends on what they like on the day.... i have around 20 different jags.. but as mentioned tommy unda a float neva fails for me... Mind u my 80 plus cm squid came from a 3.5 blue jagg.

jimbojames is the mully god atm with the baits... certainly knows his stuff... im starting to get into it now myself... have sounded out all the deep holes so im in with half a chance...

some of the jetties along yorkes hold big rays... have hooked onto and surfaced the big resident black rays at Ardrossan many times... port hughes moonta pt vic/vincent and them all hold decent rays...

and then we head to the mid price range of things... i use my wilson 4120 10'8 rod and then it is matched with a diawa emcast 6500 sport... spooled with 30lb platypus mono.this is my go to rod for alot of bigger fish. have caught mullies from ards jetty with it,have surfaced and stopped the BIG black ray there aswell with this, sambos over the west coast, heading over to salties in 2 weeks with a few fellas from here so will be interesting to see how she goes if i do get onto a decent fish...i also have a 12ft uglystick gold with a penn spinnfisher 850 and thats spooled with 30lb mono aswell..

it all depends for me... Sometimes i fish everyday, sometimes none at all... depends how i feel after work and if i can b bothered or not :)im a young single fella that has the oppurtunity to throw the rods in the car and head off for a weekend or day or whatever really. As long as i let me mum know i wont b home for tea :D :DSo basically i fish nytime depending on my mood after work.However with two tafe courses and full time work it will probably b one to two days on the weekend

wow cracker photo indeed... might i ask what camera do you use??? DLSR?? norm dig cam. i would like to get into photography as im always travelling round the place. be good to take some cracker shots..
