  1. Hey fellas, while in the past ive got bream on intermediate or floating lines, do u ever fish full sink and target the depths during winter? Id say it'd be slow going, but im keen to hear of your experiences during the middle of winter as i usually use the long wand to immitate prawns in summer.
  2. What Utter bull, Way to show off your ecconomic credentials and totally ignore the situation of world economy. I personally attribute the downturn to Gelong winning the premiership! it makes as much sense! {SMILIES_PATH}/rolleyes.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/rolleyes.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/rolleyes.gif
  3. {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gifLets hope we can leave it at that! {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif
  4. BENNY YOU ARE A VERY SMART MAN!!!!couldnt have 'marqueed' it better myself!!
  5. This suggests that we are still in the dark when using Mullet mixes, and it'll be up to each fisheries officer to decide if we should be charged or not! Surely they can make this a little clearer, so that we at least have the chance to assess and defend our actions if we're gonna use these mixes.WHAT THE??? U are not serious r u Ranger? It in no way leaves anglers in the dark!It clearly explains that meat is not ok when the amount of mince/meat used is deemed by fisheries to be fulfiling the role of attractant as opposed to the "The use of small amounts of meat for berley or bait when targetin
  6. Srick buddy, I know u were just having a laugh! I was kinda doin the same... (I know ur not really crazy {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif, You might be Crazy enough to spend all night in the tinny waiting for that drag to screem, crazy enough to drive 100s of kms time and time againin persuit of big Kings, Mullies and Snapps. But in my book these things are what make u NORMAL in the same way as me, only i mostly chase Trout and Bream! As for you Butters................................................. {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif
  7. Didnt realise your Dad was involved, or I might have left this one alone!!! {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gifSeriously though, I have keept cod and I love em! That said they are pretty dosile and will hide most of the time, however watching them feed is great fun. Dont expect them to be swimming around too much as mostly they just sulk! Also carefully consider the size of tank to be used as if you do regular water changes (to reduce ammonia) and feed it a varied but high protein diet they can grow from 5cm to a foot i less than a year! Also NOTHING ELSE CAN BE KEPT unless you dont mind it being killed and
  8. Although this is interesting and many of the above bullets are very serious points, I for one am glad that the MINI-SERIES has been abandoned! With such a divisive topic, no one will ever happy and I doubt it would be all that worthwhile; as i can just imagine the long disconnected series of rants it would become. While everyone is entitiled to discuss issues as they like, Perhaps i could suggest that big projects such as these be undertaken as 'WiKI ' Projects. That way you can be as indepth as you like and determine the approach of the discussion. Plus it easy to use evidence to back up clai
  9. Well when you pop in to grab your 3rd copy let me know who you are bro!
  10. U call 6kg good bag Shauno! Hopefully things will improove for you before the comp! {SMILIES_PATH}/cheesy.gif
  11. Some good points there, Ranger. To all, lets not get into this debate, Each to their own.If anyone wants to discuss the State regulations or their moral inclinations, HAVE RESPECT FOR TOPIC STARTERS AND START YOUR OWN POST!ta YAk! {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif

  13. just wanted to add i dont keep or eat bream either when i hook em in the port, just if someone did it would be and should be okay. cheers srickWhat the heck Srick? U gone crazy bro? {SMILIES_PATH}/huh.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/huh.gifIf anyone wants to eat a bream knock yourself out, but what of these WISE BREAM as per the TOPIC.And What do you think of the Bitsy Wiggler as a Worm Immitation?(and yes, you can eat it if you want, though id remove the trebbles first! {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif )lets not begin the diging game........And play the stick to the topic GAMe instead!- I dont think Bream learn t
  14. Some good points there BENNYBOY! Its a tough one
  15. One very sunny day out at Tipara, the boat was surrounded by Gar which just would not bite. MY Grandfather who was quite the joker put some rasin from some slices my mum made on the hook and BANG! The float went down! Next cast another, then another, soon 3 grown men were picking through a container of now crumbed up slices, looking for bits of rasin......... over 100 gar were caught!!!
  16. Its been sad to see such a big personality lost from out sport. My condolences to Sams family at Magill. When i was a young tacker of 15 and did Sat and Thursdays by myself at 5 STAR Angling Supplies, Sam would sometimes hang out at the counter telling me story after story. Him and Gino were good blokes and his loss ahs already been felt by many.
  17. 4 sure there were Bronzies put in there by Grange anglers, Probably been mostly caught by now, well hopefuly anyhow!
  18. best to let Smurf deal with this one! It will be out soon though!
  19. While there is no way I could fight a grown man who was pulling on a rope attached to a 10/0 through my gob, I still think Fish feel [i:gdvxuzeq]something![/i:gdvxuzeq]Where i would pass out, I think the fish thinks "ouch" something it definitely not right! After all fish tend to fight against the angler, pain must be responsible, to suggest fish fight because they dont want to get caught is granting them way too much cognitive ability. We hurt them with hooks, so they pull on the line! It cant be overwhelming pain or they'd just give up, but its gotta be pain none the less.I hate thinking too
  20. I got an SMS which read, get on it slacker!
  21. Not at all picking the point, but just to let ya all know, below is an image of a Strike King [i:3m13nbbs]Bitsy Wiggler[/i:3m13nbbs], which is a hard bodied Worm immitation. They are fairly new and relatively unknown.Stock, the lure floats and has limited action on the slow roll. If you upgrade the hooks to Owner 16s, or Sz 18s with a bit of stickweight and it will suspend. I have had Bream nail the dark green one when twitched slowly midwater. Different retrieve stlyes could very well see it immitate a prawn or baitfish, but the intent to be a bit of worm is there! http://www.fishyorkepeninsu
  22. Yob. We've got em here ( @ STW) if your still chasing a copy! They've been going like hotcakes, but we got some extras!
  23. Some very good points there. Regarding the certificate, thats something we wanna clear up quick! As far as being frozen goes, Ranger is right most Bacteria will probably be killed off, I am not howver so sure about Virus' they might carry as these arent alive to start with! I'll have to ask some questions....unless someone wants to beat me to it, which id much appriciate!!!
  24. Its only gonna get worse until NOVEMBER at least. It is true that stores are paying around $150 for 20kgs. There are many reasons already discussed which are contributing to this. Unfortunately there is onlt one bit of advice for those struggling to come to terms with the current situation, GET USED TO IT or USE SQUID! {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gifseriously though with the number of anglers whinging to me daily i feel like doing a backflip when someone buys a packet of Gulp instead!ps Got 12 KGs on Berkley Camo Worms the other day and it was DEAD EASY, Get on it!!!
  25. Dont mind the look of that Damiki MU, That should be a goer this winter, wouldnt take to much S/W to make it sink either, hmmm.
