This could only happen to me Went bream fishing yesterday with Chuck and as usual my casting left a bit to be desired and I ended up deep into a mangrove. Not to worry 5lb leader just wrap it around my hand and pop the line WRONG !!!! Only I could snap a nitro jighead in half......felt a stinging pain in the back of my hand and slightly confused couldnt figure out why I had fishing line coming out of a bleeding hole in my hand.Being slow it took a minute to realise what had happened, the now broken jighead hook had flown back at high speed and completely embedded itself in my hand A tug o

Feel for ya Del it happened to me earlier this year, they smashed the rear window and helped themselves, the bastards not only stole my fishing gear but they also took my overnight bag containing my clothes for the weekend, sunnies, gps etc etc.I still get peeved about the fact that one of them is walking around wearing my clothes Lets hope that there is karma and it bites them on the arse cheerssnapps

Email sent but can you explain what the comp is ......have I missed something ?What do I need to do other than send an email with my details?Im sure I can think of some more questions but that will do for now cheerssnapps -
And to make matters worse we had the pleasure of watching a boat drop anchor directly out from us and pull 2 snapper in 2 casts.I wont mention the names we came with to describe this guys action but I think most of you can use a bit of imagination to figure it out. There was not another boat in sight or another rock fisho to be seen and with the choice of the entire bay he had to drop anchor just metres out from where we were casting and then pull a couple of fish out that we might have latched onto. One went 5kgs or so I reckon so wasnt a bad size specimen.Next time mate we will get one

Great write up :cheer:

And who said size doesnt matter You might have to attach a flag to the end of that sucker every time you use it Thats one beast of a rod I will have to check it out cheerssnapps

Mullies mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmLove fishin the creeks for these suckers once the weather cools down.Already done a couple of successful trips.I will also be back to chasing snapper again I reckon seeing that Im back in the upper gulf region. Im that keen I went out and got myself a new reel for chasing them last week so look out you reds.I got one of the new Pflueger Arbor 40's if it works as good as it looks and feels I reckon another one might be joining the stable before the years out.cheerssnapps

Nice fish mate well done. Those fly's are proving to be a real winner.Chuck and myself got stuck into a few mullies on the weekend on sp's and I decided its time to crack out the flyrod and tick that box next trip.I will let you know how I go but if its anything like last weekend I reckon the box could already be ticked Keep up the good workcheerssnapps
