  4. Got smoked this morning by a flying carpet! Whole Tommie did the trick. Not the target, but always a buzz as line peels off with the crazy power!
  5. I think they had a few issues last weekend, so have credited everyone with the correct tips for last weekend, but seems all good now. So those that did well last weekend should be pissed off, and those who stuffed up should be laughing!
  6. As said, there are plenty of Rays in the Port River. We were consistently getting 1 - 3 hook ups per session, when we were having a go at targeting them. Some epic battles, but this is the only one we landed. We were only using 4000-6000 sized spin reels with 20 - 30lb braid. Good luck.
  7. If you are after a feed my advice would be to concentrate on your most local area. Learn how to fish it and reap the rewards. There are locals on every beach, jetty, rock wall, marina, lake, dam ....... from the Onka to north of St Kilda that will confidently fish an area for a feed. Just a bit of time and knowledge and you'll laughing mate, plenty of metro LB fish to had. Good luck.
  8. Luv it Alex. Great video and photos! And some really nice Bream. Won't be long before you crack that 40cm mate.
  9. G'day mate. Your post suggested beach fishing, but if u r keen to fish off the rocks then the NH and OH rocks can be a reel hoot! This time of year Gar and Bream are good options. Good luck mate. PM me if you like!
  10. Nice work on the PB codez. Nothing wrong with taking a feed mate especially a Flattie feed.
  11. Cracking video Weaver. Your son is going to be out fishing in no time, his confidence in the boat is a credit to you. Some great fish too!
  12. Top work and footage Alex and James. Love the excitement in James's voice and face. I'm just guessing, but I think you guys might be chasing a few more Mulloway! :silly:
  13. Hi Bjorn,For me, when I used to have my SP mojo on, Squidgy Wrigglers Bloodworm 80mm and Zman Grubs Motoroil for Bream and FlatheadandSplit tails or flick baits for Salmon and Snook. Favourite is the light green Hollow Belly Split Tail. Always use S-factor, whether it really works or not is anyones guess!
  14. Nice work Alex. Great to watch you and your mates getting into a few! :f Cheers.
  15. Just 'liked' this on FB. Awesome photo.
  16. From my very limited understanding, and from a non scientific view point, they're bottom feeders, mainly weed during the day, but at night they will feed on small critters near the surface. Your surface burley will get them to the top level of water, day or night, and depending on multiple factors they will feed freely on whatever you offer, or you'll be scratching your head wondering why they will not bite, sooooo many theories. I don't fish with gents anymore. I think the theory is they like the scent and the movement as they wiggle, but not so convinced. Good luck if you chase t
