Top tip Underpants but for we old b's replace the jogging with walking the Dog.

When it breaks it gets called all sorts of names.....

I was wondering if the Vegamite had been packed in a Marmite jar......I intend to pick up from where "Just Me" left off...

This has a repeat of the KI Koala debarcle written all over it.Nature is not in the least bit kind, time for DEWNR to accept that and make the right descisions no matter how cute a Fur Seal is.
-
Could also be a Greenie trying to cause trouble.....Anyone can play the name game.

Stingsilda's, Irons, Mavericks.....Well it's been a few years since I fished Waits.

Hi Wisdom,on the subject of a Licence, was there a trigger point that sent Vic and NSW down the licence path ?The RFL has been the subject of much discussion but I can find nothing about how the other guys got past the bulldust and made it happen. Cheers

I must say they are easy to catch from my limited attempts on Lake Monticello, Arkansas.Land based with a $10.00 combo from Walmart. License to fish cost more than the Combo but amenities to burn and well maintained.

Howdy Wisdom, good to see you still have a toe in the water. In saying it is all a best guess I think that depends on who is having the punt. Someone who has put in the hard yards usually has a good feel for what side the coin may come down on, on the other hand we have DEWNR. Couldn't resist. Cheers

snap CARL, beat me by 20mS.

The 7Kg limits smells a bit like the additional hook limits on Shark Fishing. A bright idea without doing any homework on consequences resulting in yet another potential dogs brekkie.A good question for PIRSA.Cheers

Just a real shame ' date=' that the government can't buy out the Pros, they have done this interstate, and the fish stocks have gone nuts...Introductions of Fishing Licences, etc, have helped recoup the governments spending, northern NSW, southern QLD have had esteries rebound back to life one the pro fishermen were bought out, no nets, pots !!I wonder how long it will take for SA Gov, to take a leaf out of their counterparts in the other states. If this can not be done, put a ban on distances from shorelines.... 10 / 20 Klms etc.. and ENFORCE IT.[/quote']Thats the key. PIRSA knows there is excess effort as it was in black and white in the Snapper Options Paper. Find the cash by what ever means for a buyout of latent and excess effort and maybe then stocks will be sustainable under the control of a STACC.

Thats interesting Tony.If NRM joins DENR, then DENR will have no excuse for not managing threats to their wonderful Marine Parks. Currently DENR expects the NRM and Councils to manage all Shore based threats.

OK I'm beaten. Thanks Tony and Kon for posting info. Will watch with interest if any attempt is made to stabilise the banks.

This rape and pillage then buy me out thing really gets up my nose. As pointed out, we in the manufacturing industry are thrown on the scrap heap in ever increasing numbers due in some part to the angular challenged level playing field.Just because these guys purchase a license they seem to think the world owes them one after they are often the ones to stuff the thing up.

Hi Tony,no they were just the messenger. I think he mentioned the NRM but please don't quote me. Hearing is not what it used to be so I miss some bits of conversations....Mentioned affecting water flow in the future, find that a bit hard to rationalise. As all here who fish below Sth Road will know, Bank collapse has been very prevalent over the past few years so some form of stabilisation is required. Very interested to see what rehabilitation method they intend to impliment. My guess is b.. all. Thanks for doing some digging for me.

OK, received a reply from the Council, reason for removal is they are not native and may damage the esturary in the future. Must be a lot of damaged esturary's in the world...............

Thanks Guys.I think Landcare/Trees for Life or some simular group are supposed to be doing some re-vegitation in the area, spoke to the guy removing Olives some time back. Hard to fathom why they cut both the mother trees. I notice the Aloes appear to have been poisoned also. Can't wait to see what they replace them with as the Banks are collapsing at a pretty rapid rate..

Yes Jimbo, thats the one. Been watching it grow for years and had mental pictures of the whole lower reach covered in them. Words fail me as to why it was removed...

Does anyone know why the Mangrove Tree near the new Train Crossing on the Onka has been cut down. Feral or not, Mangroves in an Esturary can't be a bad thing for bank stabilisation.
Anyone using Navionics when in the Coorong?
