  2. Not a fail mate good onya for having a crack mate! wonder what the best tide times to check are for the area?? Probably going to be a lot different than outer harbor, maybe half to an hour ahead??? I know north arm high tide is about half hour later and the creeks can be up to an hour later at barker inlet  might take a bit to work out. Six what some bludging scum bags do hey.... Should have a few bullet proof cameras set up out there. Poor bloody un insured p plater.... They could have at least stole a Mercedes or a Beamer.... That sux.Enjoy your adventures though and

  4. I wouldn't bother with that scale  for a start my 101kg mully didn't go close to 10kg and the 120cm fish was nowhere near 38lb... I wish, and it was fat AS!! And before anyone blames the scales, it was weighed at tackle and tucker on digital scales.they use.for.their.comps and.I've got a certification of capture from saftag. If anything the fat girth of my 32pounder (14.somthin kg) tells me your standard 120cm fish is likely to be 30 or.a smidge under ;)I'll take a 38 pound pb though no probs . 28kg is likely enough easy twice the size of the pup I landed Id say the scale i

  9. While I was out one dark and stormy morning with Jimbo "the mully machine" James, trying to capture one of these beauties;a funny thing happened!  I felt a bit of a snag as I was winding in for a bait re fresh.  "bit o weed" I said to the first mate mully machine Jimbo. It was very dark and stormy like I said, so it wasn't until the snag was boatside that I noticed it seemed a bit too regularly shaped to be a stick or weed for that matter. Now I've had a few odd catches with Sir Jim, like the time we rescued a couple kayakers and hauled em into the warpig  But this time it was a fishing

  11. Yeah, nice one Crispy! I find once we head into winter proper, the weather is a lot more predictable and surprisingly the seas a lot better (in between the marching cold fronts of course  ) .I'm going to use the conditions to slowly inch out a little further in me tinny and see if I can't get a little more comfortable outside the 5-10km zone. I'm way north of your grounds obviously, but I'm planning on fishing the silt a bit and may even do a few two tank runs :woohoo: The only thing is when you get wet this time of year it tends to be reeeeaaal chili Reckon you timed the additio

  13. Great time of the year people! Gone are the crowded ramps :woohoo: the fair-weather fisho's are rugged up in their cots :PWhat are you REAL fisho's up to?? 2kg of metro salmon or proper 7kg fish elsewhere?KGs ought to be on the menu!!! Of course there's Kingy talk a foot too and the usual sneaky mully stalkers :cheer:Me I like trying to find some deep bream, gunning for kilo plus salmon/St, will most definately put a pt Augusta Kingy attempt in and of course.... Blah blah, have a crack at a big mully. The little adventures I'm most keen on are a few hills trips for trout, and I'm going to ret
  14. 2. there was one wrapped up in the esky you can kind of see. I'll put a pic up when I get to tha computer. 90cm and that bugga in the water was 88, so a Pidgeon pair... Both had a lot of hollow spots high on the flanks from previous parasite infection sadly, but the meat was good quality around it. Haven't tagged a fish with my tagging kit yet... That's my next mission! Ps give a yell if ya need a deckie for the new tub

This is why I have a gopro hero2 on my birthday wish list lol, bit difficult filming yourself try fight a fishy hahahaWell I've re named this creek "snapper creek" I first ventured up there in Feb this year and knew a few spots were ideal for a mully or two in a later visit well.... 18. Yeah I too swear by these.... And the mrs is always bringing em home for me, would almost be lost without them these days.Just a tiP though, to helP with casting, I tie a very small trace from mine, with a loop so I can replace the sinker easy though still. The trace is always lighter than the mainline and only like 15cm. It gives the sinker a pendulum effect when casting so it will travel nicely if casting a heavy bait or livie. it also helps keep the whole running rig that little bit higher off the bottom . Great little piece of kit these slides and if ever I run out I use a sliding swiv

Intact read it from cover to cover and am keen for next issue My review;None of the fluffed out wishy washy bulldust that fills the pages of the other national mags these days Sharp direct, to the point, fresh and instructional while being entertaining. I like what they are doing with the look of the mag and the photography seems to be taken to the next level. can't quite work out the over and under water shots especially that one of the angler above water and the yfw under the su
