  2. Haha love this quote by alan"On the downside though it has a lot more plastic inside and out, big play in the shaft, it's tighter to spin due to seals even though they still tell us it's not waterproof, has downgraded gearing, bail closure is counter intuitive, the very useful service port is gone, and now it has become one of the heaviest spinning reels in production"He doesnt seem too impressed with the price he paid for the reel he recievedGood thorough indepth read anywaysIll Stick to my Saltigasthey have never let me downand quality internal and external parts

  4. There more of a top water lure sub surface, require little effort and the action is really sweetbut for out waters they arnt nothing special for our speciesyeh salmon mite hit them and kingfish but not much else.but In WA on my tripsthey work wickedQueenfish and Mackerel go ballistic over thembut thats all ive ever known to be caught on them.
  5. get a few shimano lucanus jigsi wouldnt bother with anything elsethey are proven and work better then soft plastics most timesget a few different grams in regards to the depth you fishing you must allow for strong watercurrents so heavyer the better most times as you would rather have heavier jig and know its on the bottom in the zone then lighter drifting through mid waterjust drop to bottom and slowly wind and jig the rodand once feel hit dont strikekeep winding and fish hook them selfs and you will know once the rod loads up when a fish is hooked.
  6. you really want it set up like this:Main line/(braid or mono) --- Attached to wind on leader ------then attach your mono/Wire traceDepending on the size of the sharks you want to target though ?

  13. make your own 3 hook rigs unweighted with split shot or tooline 10-20lbhook sizes 6-2 find little octopus gamakatsu's work best.used to use al-foil strips as i tied the knot over the hook with a bit of feather glue on worked amazing especially when my 8 year old cousins came fishin with me gettin triple headers with no baitBerley the key, and the love Pillies flesh strips and the MAckerel flesh its self in strips amazing and salmon love it too
  14. use people can talk all you want.because thats all of you are all talk and no walk nothing you say will stop us.so sick or hearing and seeing this crap go on and on.CONCLUSION EMU AND OTHER AGAINST SHARK FISHINGNothing you say nor do will stop us from shark fishingend of story if you get in our ways we are not responsible for our actions.we just want to enjoy something we love and work hard for. we dont have boats like most fishos.we do our best to have fun and achieve a challenge which we do legally.life savers have no respect. and there supposed to bee showing a example to the many peoples l
  15. getiing pretty sick and tire of seeing this post go on and on like last months post about the bronzie tht was caught n the debate or 5 plus pages about it being a white.who gives a crap honestly us sharkers are still gonna fish no matter what any one says or rules implied.if we want to use tuna oil we will and we can use as many litres as we wont since we are not breaking the rules.there are no rules that say you can only shark fish during certain times of the day this and that wewill shark fish when ever its convienent for us.i work full time mon to friday and work 8-4if i want to go down aft
  16. http://daiwafishing.com.au/?p=38364500 nice reel more of a 50lb reel but will take 500 metres easy or 30lb braid if thats what you wana fish. decent price to man and has 10kg drag
  17. the 3000 and 4000 sol run 8kg drag pressure not quite 10kg but stil alot pressure. for that price range aythink with shimano in the price range they wont have no more the 6kg
  18. if you wana match it with daiwa one of these would be ideal with spare spools aswell. to meet your $300 budgetin a 3000 or 4000 size would suit your recomended braid poundage very well with at least 300 metres on the spoolhttp://www.rayannes.com.au/products/rods-reels/daiwa/daiwa-spin-reels/daiwa-heartland-spin-reels-from-only-239-free-delivery/http://www.rayannes.com.au/daiwa-shimano-reels-australia/rods-reels/daiwa/daiwa-spin-reels/daiwa-td-sol-spin-reels-2000-2500-3000/http://www.rayannes.com.au/daiwa-shimano-reels-australia/rods-reels/daiwa/daiwa-spin-reels/team-daiwa-sol-4000-309/

  20. this has been on my mind all this week, think about it every day but this week stand out so much more. 2 years ago this week. i wandered down to my favorite jetty in search for snapper. fished the morning tide got there at 5am.and stocked up on fresh bait dead and live.no snapper to bee seen except little pickers destroying the dead baits.about 9 0clok came and i decided to wind in my bait rod to check if there was still baits on the hooks, when all of a suddenmy rid was getting smashed all the way up as i was winding it, then to there surface. to me surprise there was 5 30lb yellow tail torped
