1. 99% of my plastics are ZMan or Squidgy Biotough as I have what you might term "confidence lures" in both ranges.

Metals I'm not fussed with whatever brand; hardbodies I mainly sway towards Rapala . This is all todo with th estyle of fishing I do as I am a lot more likely to throw plastics over hardbodies for bream/flatties and the like whereas where canal fishing/breakwalls I am mainly throwing Rapala baits.

2. Anyone have any feedback or experience with the Crucis Travel Rods? Looking at grabbing one for a FNQ trip, specifically the 7ft 11 4-7 kg one, and wondering if anyone has anything to say about them? Never heard of the brand before until today. Cheers.

3. Had a summer holiday in a friends shack there a few years ago and I snorkelled the ribbon weed line for an hour or so directly out from the Jetty and was amazed to not even see a gar' date=' squid, tommy, whiting, etc in the crystal clear water [/quote']It's pathetic there now.
4. I picked up two high modular telescopic surf rods at 4.2m and 4.5m. Two different brands8 am happy to loan them out for field testing only ask that they be returned after a couple of weeks with a report and honest feedback on them. They can then be given out to other strike and hookers so they can play with them. I just want to gauge reactionI've also placed an order for 100 quality surf rods for the shop which will in in the new year. These are a Japanese high modular blankI can get the UK blanks specs next month when I visit the UK if anyone is interested' date=' and get them made up if there's enough interestMy shop will be on the Goolwa rd, turn left at the victor roundabout at the play cafe then about 300m on the leftDrop me a pm if you are interested in the trialling the telescopic sIll be back in SA after the Sydney tinny and tackle show I'm exhibiting at next weekendI'm always looking for new ideas customer feedback so don't be shy guysHere's the new shop

5. Headed to Lock 3 today. The wife and I caught over 50 plus Silver perch from 20-40cm' date=' 30 plus callop from 12-38cm, a single 22cm catfish and a handful of relatively small carp.We took photos of the first few of each, then it got to the point we were sick of catching Silver Perch. the large ones fought very well on 6lb braid.Ate the only callop we kept for tea tonight (baked with chilli, basil and tomatoes in the cavity).[/quote']Great to hear about so many natives.
6. I heard via Facebook that there were heaps of mullet around the Southport walking bridge yesterday so decided to head down there this morning on a livie mission. Managed about five which should do the job' date=' thousands of pickers down there it was crazy! Threw back so many undersized mullet and st's also saw a bunch of decent sized st's that just wouldn't take my bait as it was decimated every cast by the pickers :( There are Whiting hanging around too, have to give them a go soon I reckon.I'm off soon to put my livies to use, fingers crossed I have a report to write up later ;)[/quote']Could've thrown some softies or lures at the st's?
7. Was flyfishing lower eyre peninsula the other week' date=' put the burley out, got the usual bait fish around. Couldnt resist but catch a few. Was tommies and gar out a bit further. Kept a few for livebait. All of a sudden i see a fin breach the surface in the distance. Thought nothing of it just figured it was a few dolphins. NEK MINIT theres a sunfish under the jetty.[/quote']That's unreal.
8. Cheap Chinese copies.
yep great aren't they B) i've been using them for over 2 years now and can't tell the difference' date=' but my wallet can thats for sure  cheers chuck[/quote']Hmm might try it.(That's all I got told before in my previous post.)
9. Yeah' date=' these comments are what i expected. The reason for red or green is because I can get a 300 yd spool off ebay for $27' date=' and they are the only colours. I usually go yellow.[/quote'']gee your getting ripped off i pay $12.80 delivered for my 300mt spools and any color or lbs you want, you need to search again haha ;) cheers chuckhere ya go try this one ;)
Cheap Chinese copies.
10. I usually cocktail whiting baits with circles. Double pin the Cockle and then and single pin on the tip of the circle a squid strip. That way they get the cockle smell and taste but because of the toughness of the squid thye 'usually' can't get it off and if they do. They have a reason to come back again.Cheers TT

I like that idea. I think I'll try it.
11. You might be onto something there fished out. Could u imagine if they stocked the lake with couple if thousand juvie kings. How good would that be!!! Our own Sydney harbour in our backyard! Not as silly as it sounds they'd have no reason to leave due to the amount of feed in there only question would be would the temp be suitable??? It would be a hub for sport fishing mullies bream and kinggys!! Wowser!

Hmm, there's an idea. I know Victoria Fisheries is studying saltwater stocking.
