  2. I'm going up that way in Aug for two weeks, remind me not to get to cocky with the locals[/color:206cd6ph]
  3. You are getting the hang out of fishing the Lake Luke, wished I lived closer than I do, (50 mins away) would give me a chance to visit more often, and have a go at them as well[/color:7d2scbko]

Never heard of that trick before, it does sound logical tho.All the bread you get now is full of preservatives to keep it soft for days on end, I will give it a try as well, although I have often had thoughts of buying croutons and crunching them up, not sure if fish like toast![/color:1uhhtezh] {SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif
  5. If you go into Tackleworld at O'Holloran Hill and ask for Micheal Bailey, he was the state champion only a couple of years back, or even last year, cant quite remember which, could even still be.He will certainly give you some tips if you ask.[/color:3mzw3dad]
  6. I was looking thru Australian Fishing Sites (where we are rated Number 1), looking for a local site or forum where i could feel at home, and get some local knowledge, been here ever since, great bunch of blokes and sheilas, who like to help others enjoy the art of fishing and learn from others as well. We dont know to many faces, but we respect each others thoughts.[/color:3ps0jhp9]
  7. good lunchtime viewing, or for setting the DVD recorder if you are out on the water[/color:2o2jrdio]
  8. On 22/08/07 I wroteI have 56 rods, all assorted sizes and weights, my wife asked "Why so many rods?".I replied"You buy dresses".[/color:14nkfzkl]The question has been aasked before.But... before you shoot me down in flamesThere are a lot ao new members all the time, so it wouldnt be unusual for the same question to be aske d with different wordskeep it going[/color:14nkfzkl]
  9. I have a mate who buys off e-bay all the time, some of the stainless steel items are starting to rust already, eyelets are coming unbound off the rods, hooks dont appear to be as sharp as they should be, some of his so called bargain reels dont wind smoothly and get stuck part way doing the job, yes he has saved himself quite a few bob in the process, and is starting to listen to what i have been telling him.I never buy in K-Mart or Big W, I always look at their products when I am in one of their stores, try and keep their prices in my head and make a comparison with a tackle store when I want
  10. T'was a young lad went cage diving with Rolf on Calypso Star outta Lincoln! It was bennyboy who went shark diving[/color:1oh2x2o2]
  11. its Ken Foxcost $99yearly updates $25An Adelaide based programmerpm me if you want more info[/color:143tryhr]
  12. I have found that the books are around that mark given, you can always find something in the general area if you sound around for a while, it dosent pay to be lazy.Another thing to look out for if you are hunting KG's, where ever the books give a whiting ground, you will find that they are out in front of sand hills, so if you see sand hills along the coast line then work these areas, in close or out into deeper water, once you stray from the line, then you will find KG's hard to find.flog95 is a very good program for all record keeping wether it be on boat or land, well worth getting yourself
  13. We got a pesky seagull last time out, he kept having a go at the gar rig, wasnt happy until he got himself all tangled up.I had a photo somewhere I'll have to find it, when i do I'll post them for you to have a look at[/color:3ol417yv]
  14. Bravado, I dont think anyone on here will get upset by which ever magazine you read or get your info from, we are all bigger than that to bother about getting our t*ts in a tangle like some places, what we need on this site is people who are prepared to banter on about fishing, catching fish, and help everyone to learn and enjoy their fishing, those who want to be drop outs can cast their lines into some one elses pond.[/color:36kevume]
  15. Naw, you are forgiven this time[/color:3h6vmmqn]
