  1. Haha, Thanks mate was 27kg's caught on me 2500 Certate Hyper Custom spooled with 10kg braid. The only thing thats really tested it, eats Reds for breakfast and probably my best catch to date tbh.
  2. Lol yeh it does because i thought "yeh this is typical"haha i may be dumb but i can lift heavy things Piranha, was tempted to fire off an email with expletive expletive expletive, so happy i didnt go that path now.
  3. Need to get you out in the tub, maybe we'll get lucky then.
  4. I may be wrong Cal, but I think Pirahna was dead set taking the piss when he put up that comment?I understood it as a completely fictional account of a scientific study Pirahna made up himself.TBSucked me in.
  5. Lol funny but true, wouldnt it be a great deal cheaper to stock our own sections of the river. I dont see the economic value in this, its a bit like how long is a piece of string, surely you cant get a definative answer.
  6. Youve seen a few now Cocky, still waiting for our first encounter.
  7. Yeh their b@st@rds mate. You'd love to get em alone for 5 minutes. Karma will catch up with them eventually preferably in the shape of some big burly boat owners.I never use sullies but decent of you to get the word out.
  8. Congrats ST,we have two Grandchildren of our own, a girl 4 yrs and a boy 6 months. They are very special to us and we adore them, hard to imagine life without them now. Enjoy mate it just gets better and better.
  9. Just wasnt sure uhf as i have been vocal regarding it and i do stress points of concern so wasnt sure. I think the ship will remain as long as they see a viable chance of suing the Government for losses incured getting here and while remaining here. Theres also the other school of thought that says where else can it go, not sure why the New Zealand partners and major owners dont take it there and earn a dollar in their waters, New Zealand has some pretty good fishing or is it because they know what they'll get should the try which makes me wonder did they take us for an apathetic lot that woul
  10. Still unsure if your having a dig at me or not kon.
  11. For those that are interested in expressing their views to Mr Geen and Seafish Tasmania you can email him at gerryg@seafish.com.au
  12. Mr Geen, You keep harping about the Government stopping you from fishing with Super Trawlers in Australian waters when in fact its the people of this country that have stood up and said "No Way". I'm proud to have a Government turn around and say we made a mistake and the people have told us they don't want this ship in Australian waters and they've acted accordingly on our behalf. If your loosing millions this lays at your feet as you never obtained a license to do so, i fail to see how you can sue but if you do and are successful let the Government repay your costs that doesn't bo
  13. Received a letter and the Hansard covering the debate from Leon Bignell yesterday, long story short the Private Members bill he wanted introduced to stop the trawler fishing in SA waters was passed. Interestingly the Liberals apposed it but the motion was still passed regardless.Bravo Mr Bignell and thank you.
  14. Couldnt agree more, mindless tossers who do nothing but bring shame on all fisher folk. When ya get tired swinging JM pass it to me.
  15. I would imagine very well, i have the 2500 hyper-certate and that handled a 27kg Tuna without to much drama, caught the one in my avatar. Think your Dad is a lucky bloke, he'll be one happy man when he can find a fish to test it then he'll really know how good they are. It will eat Big Reds for Breakfast. All my Red fishing after the ban will be with it and a Live Fibre 5kg stick and hopefully get a heavy fish on light line, currently have 10kg on it time to step down a bit and have some fun.
  16. Well done mate, great fun isnt it, a very visual style of fishing which is very exciting when using surface lures.
  17. Theres a couple on EBay a Certate 3000 and a 2506 due to sell in 17.5 hours. Both used.
  18. Nice video, look like youve done that a few times theres alot going on.
  19. Nice tip on the mono K, never tried lures for yfw but ive had a spark ignited in me via various threads and might have to have a crack at it over summer. Thompsons beach isnt far from my place and ive heard a few blokes speak of catching a few there. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
