  3. I am 100 percent against animal cruelty and people who abuse animals should have the same treatment done to them. Just sickening
  4. They really rate up in the top 5 or ten for me
  5. Many people don't really hold leatherys very highly on their table. But I absolutely love them. If I get one on a whiting rig I would be as happy as anything. Would love to hear your opinions on this. and why or why you dont like these fish.
  6. Basically identify sand and weed patches in practically any depth (within reason) and burley up drop baits and it is just hit and miss until you find a area where they thrive. I've learnt that broken weed patches bring in whiting.
  7. i haven't even worked and i'm looking forward to the retired life of fishing. All the best to your adventures
  8. I've found that using the periodical waves you can set up a catch bag with someone closest to the beach and when a wave comes in everyone digs infront of the bag and the cockles will go in the bag, lazy man's method!
  9. Yeah half the jetty closes due to fish coming in so just check flinders port website. depends on what you want to catch. Chow will readily take mince with semolina and curry powder. Whilst the whiting will take small baits like squid or mussels.
  10. Hey man, assuming that this summer is a little warmer than last there will be some chow around even though they are a miner's fish they still taste great. Weedy whiting, Occasional squid and if you put in the time in the early hours some blueys. Also depending on the jetty closure due to shipping some small snapper around the end. Hope this helps
  11. thats the problem with those :c whiting. They will follow the burley trail but will quickly go off it if there aren't any meal sized portions. Thats why crushing up a few cockles over the side work a treat
