Southie I hope you do well on the fly I won't use the long rod again But go for it I'll be chasing bream on soft plastics And anything else on soft plastics Once I can fish again and post on here Right now I can't really due to my court case

I've stood there fished there in the past nothing well done Don't ask me when no clue lol

Cement wharfs my exwife and I used to catch a lot of mullet there before we were married . No I didn't dump her body there lol she's still going

All my 38s have not come from west lakes I've seen bigger caught . I've seen 50cm plus coming after a tiny hardbody I bought from a store once the top water went flat this big bugger went back . I know I didn't post that in my post above but they Are around somewhere Hell I've landed 40cm mullieway in hardbodies bream it's like I've kicked a black cat lol

Look I have never caught a large bream in west lakes . I've never seen sharks in west lakes . I've had my legs hit by fish wouldn't say they were sharks . I've sat next to guys who have a mate with a bronze whaler caught at point misery one of the places I used to wade years ago fly fishing . But the same area years when fly fishing I've seen huge bream couldn't get a hit . Other spots I've fished I've hooked big bream got them to the edge seen them spit the lure . We can argue but some have seen large fish im thinking bait guys have caught them back in the day when you didn't measure fish

I've been around the corner looked at a couple found one I think is good . Savage road runner bream travel rod . Price is top of my range 130 roughly . Does anyone know of a good travel rod I can put in a back back and catch a local bus to my spot . Or bite the bullet cause this rod is better than what I use anyway

I tried a couple of years ago I was told there were no bream . Never caught a thing on hardbodies watched whiting caught in bait

I bought a packet the shop had no idea of the special I sent the email to them Bought ones that look white with black dots walked home bright green in the sun

I've been at the Pat twice very recently, starting before sunrise with surface lures and soft plastics and got nothing. Not even a hit... Don't know when the Bream will start up again. Could be winter ill get out there one day and find out

must be my casting i like a 7ft rod even 6ft 9 i have issues casting

I've seen lots of water rushing down the concrete creeks leading to the patowalunga . How does this affect the fishing I think normally it goes quiet now

I've heard of cheese , fritz being used in west lakes I've seen some one throw pies buns stale from a shop into west lakes while doing this he put some on his hook yep he landed bream

Am I wrong after paying a tackle store on a diawa part when I needed another part different reel I called diawa Australia took longer I think but it got here in the post l Or am I way off no offence meant

Tinker I saw the Pat Saturday morning high tide at 5 am low water at 6.30am I was thinking what the hell Saw on channel 7 news tonight they emptied the Pat Friday night

Underpants I said to someone I wonder when the seaweed will come . The bloke I was saying this too says he goes often down to the beach . He reckons he's never seen the adelaide beaches covered in sea weed . He asked me what I was talking about I said gee when I lived near north haven outer harbour the beaches down there were covered in weed No Michael your wrong never seen seaweed in beaches Where is he I hope he saw that on Glenelg Beach lol

I think I watched most of them River cottage in England showed things of growing your own eating wild food . But they had shows on catching imported things like yabbies crawfish from the states . And hanging road kill in pots for eels and road kill over bridges with maggots falling in then using them for bait to land trout . He did a show on wild food and food from bins also an SAS and Hugh also did a show each on catching squirrels eating them on sticks yuk . River cottage Australia the guy has caught fish once or twice last week Trout and one had eggs so they ate trout cavier . Not quite

That's interesting keen fisho I need a 7 ft rod to cast further I've a Diawa 6ft9 rod doesn't cast as far as a shimano 7 ft Mind you I haven't paid huge amounts I saw on the Diawa fishing show on fox a 7 ft 6 rod guides same material as the rod . But I tried in Adelaide never had it tried to offer me a different Diawa rod 600 or 700 bucks too much for me

The above picture is an old one i took awhile ago my memory issues i forgot about the laguna 1000 i bought for port agusta ill save money use that one as well and call diawa for another spool

And then I recalled a Diawa Laguna 1000 I've hardly used so I'll switch between the two reels Thanks all
