  1. Anyone know where i can get a Fish Size and Limit Sticker, the ones with a ruler like you have stuck on boats? looking to get one for my icebox, always forget the bloody brag mat and have to dig through the tackle box for a tape measure lol.. thanks guys
  2. Always wondered this myself after seeing some guys on brighton jetty hacking up a huge one.. I just assumed they were being cruel d***heads.. guess I was wrong lol
  3. shimano raider rods are perfect for this kinda fishing, i own three including my broken 3 piece travel
  4. I agree with Jack and Weaver. To say the fishing in SA is shit is a ridiculous comment also. Personally I prefer Wild Coast as it generally has less adds and some articles have been a great help to me since I been buying it, especially the reports. But I do buy SA Angler occasionally if a article catches my eye
  5. lmao.. gaf fishing for undersize snapper now this? oh my hes obviously going into cardiac arrest trying to land this "monster of a fish". As they say, only in America! Whoever tought him c&r should be shot, im surprised it actually revived after that
  6. If you can get another $50 or so a Shimano T-Curve tournament rod and Stradic C14 4000 reel would be a great outfit imo.. I have my Stradic on a Starlo Stix pro which is still good but I'd prefer a T-curve.
  7. thanks for all your suggestions guys! I thought 20lb and 30lb would be overkill.. based on suggestions here I got a 300yd spool of 10lb Sufix performance in the new neon fire colour, should look sweet with black and red on the reel/rod
  8. Hi guysI've just bought a Stradic 2500 C14 reel (yes thats 3 Stradic's I have now lol) and Im trying to work out how much braid I need to fill the spool completely which I've never been able to do properly. I am looking at using 20lb or 30lb Sufix performance braid, or if anyone has a better suggestion please let me know. I have this braid on my Sedona and it seems good though. This reel will be going on a 2 piece raider 2-5kg rod and used for bread and butter species/small plastics. The specs on the reel are as follows:• LINE CAPACITYlb.(yrds.) 6(200) * 8(140) * 10(120) • POWER PRO LINE C
  9. I have both the 3 piece and 2 piece. They are both excellent rods. Just watch the tip on the 3 piece as it doesnt take much to snap (bag dropped on it lol) Im currently waiting for a replacement. Ive got my 3 piece paired up with a little Aernos 2000 reel and its perfect for flicking plastics and small lures
  10. damn nice pics man! hopefully the new jetty will be as good in 50 years, lol..
  11. Largs or Semi Im guessing? From PIRSA:"fishing for crab: Up to 10 hoop nets if no other device (including rod and handline) is being used Up to 3 hoop nets if other fishing gear (including rod and handline is being used "So yeh 10 is legal if crabbing is all your doing. I think this is per person too which is crazy imo

  19. I'd also like to know some good spots as im heading up that way at xmas In the past I've always had luck with ST's at the wharf near the silos, they go nuts when the pillchard boats come in! Under the opening bridge in the marina and the boat ramp in front of the marina hotel are also good for squid at sunrise/sunset.. have seen a few KGW caught in the marina but most are undersize
  20. 1. Fishing with Michael Angelakis on a 50ft Riviera, cant get much better than that! 2. Catching my biggest KGW off kingscote jetty at 48cm, in freezing conditions! 3. Hasnt happened yet but sure it will be good fun, going to Arno Bay in December!
