  1. nope, no targeting at all. have to leave them in peace while they breed. still plenty around below sth road though, ive got 3 36cm and a 41cm in the past 2 days
  2. it means no targetting bream upstream of south road bridge but the fishing definitely gets better until they all move up there!
  3. I have sent out at least 10 messages so far to potential sponsors and people who could televise the event but only had one reply... frustrating but im going to keep trying!
  4. headed down to my second home yesterday (the onk) and decided to target some bream. Arrived around 3 o'clock and bites were slow at first as per usual but managed a few small bream and a 35cm st. Once the light started getting low and the tide came up it was on! consistent bream of around 30cm every cast antil bang the baitrunner is screaming with a good fish which measured in at 36cm. Next cast and again the baitrunner was hit and this fish was solid. eventually got it in and it was a very fat and healthy 40cm bream. My third from the onk and was stoked! After that i had to leave them biting.
  5. ahahahha Bjorn! i was at southport by 6:30 saturday and had a run from something and thats it! oh well at least this made up for it!
  6. was another good day fishing with alex cant wait for the next one!
  7. yup, i release all my bream and try to tell people that they are starting to move in to breed now but they just get annoyed at me... lure pb still stands at 36cm should crack another 40 soon!
  8. i use 2 rods for mullies, one is the team daiwa t 3-5kg with a 4000 shimano baitrunner dl spooled with 10lb braid i use that for livebaiting while the other combo i use is a 2-5kg daiwa gen black with a 2500 shimano stradic ci4+ spooled with 5lb braid
  9. You fish tv? I didn't see them land the fish, I just saw them stick the tag in then it went to ads...
  10. Went squidding in my uncles boat on the weekend and made a quick clip hope you enjoy!
  11. My most memorable catch would have to be my first Mulloway. After putting in excess of 50 hours fishing for these illusive silver ghosts it was a truly unforgettable experience catching my first. i decided to head to the onk one day after school and second cast i managed to hookup and land a solid 55cm Mulloway! to top this off i landed 2 more in the next 15 minutes making this even more memorable. from that day i have landed countless Mulloway in the onk and it all started from that one moment.
  12. went down for a flick after school on friday hoping for some bream and boy did i get more than i bargained for! this big mumma came along and smashed my small piece of pilly and after a decent fight i had my second 40cm onk bream! I let the big girl go to fight another day! love the feeling of releasing big bream!
  13. size 4 hook with a cube of pilly at the onk mouth

  16. Fantastic video once again Alex! keep up th good work!
  17. may i ask where u got a cranka crab?????? i cant find them anywhere!!!!!
  18. Get a Daiwa gen black!!! I have the pinster which I use it for throwing lures at mainly bream and flathead off my yak but use it for everything! I strongly recommend it for the price, I know I love mine!
  19. The only place I have ever seen them is at the breakwall in Portland Vic... It's a shame u don't hear of them here
  20. PLENTY of mullet around this time of year as well as some salmon trout and flathead close to the mouth. May I ask where abouts you fish to only catch bream? Bream are kind of a rare catch for me as I will most likely get smashed by a baby st before a bream even gets the chance...
  21. Complaining about catching bream? Try going for a six hour session and only catching tiny salmon trout I'm just joking! By the sounds of it you have got the location right, but maybe dusk coinciding with a high tide would be best? I'm not exactly too sure because I havnt caught one yet myself... My suggestion is to go down to Perry's bend at dusk with some Frozen pilchards/tommies put them on one rod and then fish for live bait with the other rod (mullet/salmon). From what I have heard live bait always yields the best results! It's the perfect time for some mullet ATM so good luck!
