Kat 0 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Share Posted March 4, 2011 So like all Fine independent single women (giggles like a kid I just want to see the cute animals) *cough* i took myself on a date to the zoo on Tuesday.I recently bought a new Compact Digital camera (Fuji Z33 finepix 10mp, 3m waterproof 1m drop and dust resistant) and a new HD video cam (Kodak Zx1 HD) which looks like a mobile phone from about 6 years ago! A brilliant little thing to slide in your pocket!Anyhoo, the day started crap as i think i had to walk 1km due to car parking But it soonturned good once insideI hadn't been in years and oh boy as it changed!I got lost straight away haha which turned out to be a good thing as i got one of those "behind the scene tours" to feed the lions That was pretty awesome! While i was in the back run to feed the male (which has epilepsy and must be kept separate from the females) the 6 year old female Sumatran Tiger came to say hello and I got to pat her it was amazing!! I have video of how close i got which i will work out how to upload But the pic below should give you and idea I was suppose to get a picture of me feeding the lion form their photographer.. but.. well... she sucked and missed it :S I only got a dodgey one of the back of my head patting the tiger.I ended up having lunch with a maggy who serenaded me (again video hopefully to come)I wondered around for hours and it was just a great day!I plan on doing a lot more of these things alone.. so prepare for pics!They arent the greatest this time as well, i was batte ling with animals and school kids and of course their enclosuresI Like to call this One Charlie Sheen. I really enjoy animal photography and landscapes and that pass gets me into places allover the country free of charge!The day kind of inspired me, Since then i have booked a week away in melbourne on my own for the International Comedy festival where the only plans i have is to go to 3 shows, the rest,im just gonna be a single gal with a camera. I was kind of thinking of starting a blog.. Im not sure yet.Thanks Phear! I know nothing about the technical side of things But it is something that i do hope to achieve one day. marine photographer is the goal.. Nice enough. She also did the lion feed and being the nice gal i am I let her feed the big boy. which i tried to record but since i was still learning how to use it and didnt have much time to get the cam out i kinda missed it haBut feel free to pause and screen print her cleavage. Digital cameras just keep on improving all the time, we had a korean homestay child with us for a month and we took him another female student and teacher to the zoo for the day, we hadnt seen the pandas at that point. Kat 0 Posted March 5, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 5, 2011 Thanks again guys!you all know how to smile on a gals dial.I was thinking of doing a course to learn the basic technical stuff except im a little stubborn and i like teaching myself things; however playing with all the different settings and then finding something i like i can never remember how to get there again so i think its times to hand over the cash :S:laugh: Yeah aint the profile pic a stunner?? haha I had a few people ask me in message what i look like, so after a significant amount of time doing my hair and makeup and posing for endless hours i think i found the right shot that captures my dignity, poise and regalness.
