bent87 0 Posted September 5, 2011 Report Share Posted September 5, 2011 from what i've heard the end of the metro jetties was a pretty hairy place to fish in the 70's and 80's- apart from the heavy tackle action there was quite a few other unsavoury activities on the go, as well as quite a few girls your mother wouldn't approve of. Actually- sounds bloody great! I was born in 76 and remenber walking out on Henley with the family one night after tea- i remember the tarpaulin set up out the end, the big game reels, and a mamoth shovel nose, the scream of a ratchet, and a mamoth shovel nose hitting the planks Quote Link to post Share on other sites

nickmav 0 Posted September 6, 2011 Report Share Posted September 6, 2011 i started sharking off glenelg in about 86, then moved to henley but mostly grange in the late 80's (that makes me feel old)and early 90's. as soon as i got my boat license that all came to a grinding halt.still got my 9/0 and 6/0 sittin in my shed, cant bring myself to sell them......ah, all the memories!
