Tacklebags 404
http://www.strikehook.com/forum/22-saltwater-fishing/142135-fishing-in-namibiaSo I gather from that link Kelvin these fish are from the same 'family' but are not the same 'species' as our mullies going through the scientific series of designation?Close but no cigar one may say but impressive never the less!CheersTB
spinyeel 2
There is a pic of a bigger one than that caught in Portugal. I'll see if I can find it for you. Tacklebags
Kelvin 2,200
Very impressive fish. They are incredibly similar in looks, habit and feeding. They look identical and usually the only clue it is not a mulloway is the pic of the angler with a low mount overhead combo. Here is the storyhttp://www.fishingec.com/?p=5072I have been a fan of South African/UK distance casting and bait techniques for a while now. There are a few of us here in South Australia and Australia who like to fish a little differently. I actually prefer an extra high mount threadline combo rather than a low mount overhead, and I still struggle with OTG casting and can't pendulum, but I do like to incorporate clipdown pulley rigs, grapnel sinkers and streamline baits tied with bait thread and foam. Some of the South African bait presentation techniques are very innovative. The baits are resistant to pickers and can be clipped down for distance casting. It sure beats fishing with a soggy pilchard that comes off on the cast.http://www.fishingec.com/?p=6177http://anglingsa.blogspot.com.au/2011/07/combination-of-chokka-and-sardine-for.html Tacklebags
