plasticman 0
i knew they were both aggressive & territorial, given how hard they hit lures for there size , but this is just outright bullying !check it out
Leethal 1
Thats awesome, shows how aggresive these fish really are. Imagine putting a lure in there it wouldnt last long!

Cal 480
I dont think it was bullying as such, more the Redfin doing the instinctive thing of trying to kill and eat the Goldfish. The goldy was just a little bit large and quick so the Reddy couldnt get a hold on it and looked like it was having a bit of a game. But once he had it how he wanted ....night night goldy.Great vid plasticman , cheers 8) 8)
kayakfisher 0
I've always thought that one in a tank would be great, that just onfirmed it! might have to try and keep one alive next time. I know it is illegal but I can't see a problem with it if your just gonna put it in a tank. Has anyone had any issues with fisheries etc?

I know it is illegal but I can't see a problem with it if your just gonna put it in a tank. Has anyone had any issues with fisheries etc?COMPLETELY illegal! The fact is though that most advanced fish keepers have kept fish they shouldn't technically have access to at some stage. I've never heard of fisheries or AQIS knocking on anyones door and presenting a search warrant to search their aquariums.Personally I have the view that if you're responsible and never let an introduced fish enter a waterway you're not doing any harm. I think that keeping things like redfin or red devils in tanks helps to raise awareness about exactly WHY we don't want them anywhere near our native fish.
