Kuerschie 2,309
That's awesome action! Such immediate takes after casting is impressive. I've never fished for carp out of my yak as I don't want them laying in the back kicking around. Do you just catch them and dispose of them on the nearest bank? johnwalkley
johnwalkley 24
Yea on the bank, give the foxes a chance lol
johnwalkley 24
If you land the fly 15cm in front of a cruising carp and let it sink they rarely refuse Kuerschie
Kuerschie 2,309
Do you use bread flies or buggers or something? My only Carp was on a bugger from the Torrens.

ASD14 197
Nice work mate, some decent sized mud marlin on fly gear. johnwalkley
Tinker 1,645
I recognize those backwaters. The highway in the distance also gives it away. Caught some very big carp and a few nice silvers and catties in those waters. Nice work mate. johnwalkley
johnwalkley 24
Never tried for callop or silvers in there but it's thick with carp for sure

fishnuts 55
image.jpg I took that photo mate, you been snooping around in my computer again looking for pictures of yourself. It's a shame you can't take good pictures for me when I catch fish Cheers Dazz
Tinker 1,645
Never tried for callop or silvers in there but it's thick with carp for sure No callop in there, though the silvers move through in the currents from the river heading to the lake. Callop seem to be in the main river more, not so much backwaters, but the silvers move through in schools.. Fat cats attack the tiger worms mainly towards sunset in there, then the yabbies start marching. Only takes a couple of hours with 2 nets each to get a feed. Lemon pepper barbecued yabby......
