benny 1
Nah I was tempted to but it was too rough to wade out there so I just stuck to the beach.
chezz 0
yea can get a bit hairy when rough last time i went there a school of 2 to 3 kg fish hung around the reef for hours we had 2 stop catchn them our arms were 2 sore def come bak empty handed a few times though
benny 1
Wish I had a sesh like that! It was a bit windy to cast lures though... stuck with bait and only a few bites
Tako 0
How far did you walk down and what time did you fish benny? unlucky mate.
benny 1
We arrived at 11:30 and left around 3 which i wasnt too happy about as the butes were starting to come. I fished the whole lagoon with bait and lures.
statesquider 0
Its hard to tell with browns, one day its on and the next its not. I fished with my mates on one night and we were the only 3 on the whole beach and we ended up with around 20 and we released about 15. The next day there were about 12 people on the beach and you could see the school but no one even got a bite the whole day or night. Next night was the same too...Browns still is my favourite spot to fish for salmon, not a fan of the walk down near the end though.
benny 1
Yeah its a bit of hike aye, I really wanna go there again but doubt I will be able to get there again :-\
chezz 0
i rekon browns is best fished sun up or sun down if lagoon noy firing go to reef once twisted my ankle walking from campground to carpark and was that keen walked all the way down there and bak caught nothing but had an ankle the size of a footy bad move
Tako 0
Before sun up or late in the arvo into the night never came home with an empty esky. I use lures only these days too. Although seen some one off whopers caught during the day 80cm+ a couple times.
