It was me I reckon the best 2 colours in the lake are pumpkinseed during the day and watermelon as it gets darker or is overcast, generally a 1/32th jighead but i go to 1/24 or even 1/16th if its "very" windy.Pontoons 1/50th.My PB was caught on the 3"minnow but i have done well on the 3" grub,3"fry as well as many others. You'll do it easily even though there are a lot of little picks happening on the S/Ps atm. cheers brenton

Nah ;D lifting into the boat and he had it resting on the side trying to get hooks out and it whipped its tail round and got him in the arse,it was funny at the time but ended up being pretty serious cheers brenton

I love the fireline in the 4-6lb but am not a real fan of it in the heavier classes because i have had it become unfused near the knots,I wouldn't mind giving that Sunline a go because on BM people are raving about it....where did you get it Ranger??? because i haven't seen it around. cheers brenton

I do reckon you can make posts without giving away spots but i suppose the port is really only a small system and the spots that hold fish even less, but in my experience only the truly dedicated will pull mulloway consistantly as you have to fish the right time of year, spot and tides and most of all put in the long hours.Saltiga,if you can't catch livies in the port at the moment then your not really trying. cheers brenton

I think Buff has hooked em on poppers Micky. cheers brenton

Yeah,I was referring to the popper/bloopers but i might have to give them pencil type lures a go some time as well. You gotta cover all the bases right? ;D cheers brenton

I,ve been fooling around with the poppers on bream in the last couple of weeks because my other H/Bs aren't working for me atm. ???But i,ve got a couple of questions on their use,i don't have any problems pulling fish on them and they are pretty good fun but i,m yet to catch 1 over 25cm....is this a pattern on the poppers or can you pull good fish on them??2nd question is how come all of the fish i catch on them come within 20ft of where i,m standing even though the cast might land next to or over shallow structure 30 metres away???...Just wondering?? cheers

That is a dunger for sure, well done fella cheers brenton

Yeah with some practice the gut stays intact and the fillets are joint at the belly.I reckon the commercial guys do it the other way because they get a slight percentage more meat and that enough to make it worthwhile for them. cheers brenton

I was at a YP drive in a few years ago and sitting outside the car and we saw these 2 ufo,s chasing each other in the night sky....turns out they were moths and the angle of the projection light made them appear to be miles above our heads. cheers brenton

Err thanks for the tips Benny but i reckon i'll give the poor old fiddlers a miss and stick with my gar and whiting,i'm not saying they wouldn't be fine to eat but i release most leatheries, flathead and even flounder so i probably wouldn't eat a fiddler.we could probably do with a bit of culling on the pesky buggers though. cheers brenton cheers brenton
