Hi all,After some advice if I may, I have some friends that have never raked for crabs, and having done it only a couple of times myself, I am a bit of a novice.We have decided that we will give it a crack this weekend, I was hoping someone could tell me, is it a good time of year to be raking for crabs, do the beaches like Middle, Thompson, Parahm still fire like they used to (its been nearly 15 years since I have done this)Any help will be greatly received, and I will post a report on our adventure.ThanksDame

Hey I agree Nanman, release it, I was more impressed at the control of catching a fish over 40 times the breaking strain. I for one have offen shot to early on smaller fish with bigger breaking strains, I posted not so much for a C&R v Kill debate as being impressed with the angler, even if you follow it with a boat, still a great angling effort.Dame

Dunlop Vollies are the way to go, when we fished the rocks and ledges in NSW everyone wore them. Cheap and plenty of grip.Dame
