  1. Millions of spots. Go talk to Bob at Spot on as Del said,he is a great bloke and always willing to help out fisheries is not often fished- sleaford (salmon hole, millers hole) is fantastic local action if you have a 4x4. Try in the proper for whiting and squid, supposedly some small kings hanging around too. Flathead season cranking now as well, bob can put you onto some spots but the North shore and Lincoln NP are good places to start. Also around Billy lights. Coffins like Del said is amazing too, what fish are ya keen for, landbased? YFW firing up on the front street as well.. could keep
  2. interesting reading, if that's true then shouldn't our quotas n size limits almost be switched to protect the breeders?? makes for interesting discussion. catch fewer smaller ones then we we will get more larger ones to catch, and Keep if we want! Also, Nice session FL, i would be stoked with a session like that!
  3. got in just in time. good effort by the blues too.

    Squid

i personally think clear water is the go, but a light breeze over the surface seems to be better than mirror calm conditions, for me. if its flat as a tac they are there but thats when i find them the most touchy with taking the jigs.
  5. i dont understand how does the grapnel do anything if its buried within an ice block of burley??
  6. sweet, better go check if my local has got it in yet! cracking the big fish code sounds good to me!! :woohoo:
  7. got my quota on wed at dusk, needing something to do with them so this just might get a run! i can just never seem to cook squid the right amount
  8. cracking fish AFC, gotta be stoked with that!

  13. yeah its amazing what some people find fun. a bit like those sad lads who beat up a blind 60 year old flamingo! that made me sick.
  14. swamp they get massive bream there, no joke. give it a crack !
  15. gone on average 2-3 times a week the last two years, however since may when we had a new arrival in the house fishing has definitely taken a back seat, although not for lack of trying to get out. i still get out for small local flicks here and there but going for decent trips is very hard
  16. nice mullet there chief. never fished denial but have to give it a crack someday. always bypass it on the way to yalata/fowlers!!
  17. spewing i dont live anywhere near a store otherwise i could have put in a few!
  18. cheers guys, thanks for the feedback. if i ever get out fishing again .... i will have to give it a go for sure, it does look relatively simple
  19. great fish mully, congrats on your PB, awesome fish
  20. has anyone used this knot? the video i was just watchin was saying that rapala lures are supposed to have a bit of "free loop" in the knot for the lure to move on, does anyone out there do this? i normally just tie my lures on with a uni knot :-\
  21. ive got a black magic one ive been looking forward to using, reckon the salmon will love them. salmon definitely love the surf poppers so i reckon these will be just as good on them if not better.
  22. if thats the case then thats terrible. i know there are scientific formulae around for outfalls and im sure everything would be done correctly (one would hope) for one at hughes. surely it wouldnt end up being a single point discharge though. i know of a developer in an Eyre Pen town who recently was denied mains water for his proposed development, and so went down the desal path only to be denied by the council. its good to see at least one council with some sense..
