  1. good to see ya back again breambo and yeah.. ive heard of them as odd catches around the place but not a common fish!
  2. keep in mind we use the spoons for when fishing the rocks with nev.. where at best you get a sinker back 4-5x before its lost.. a traditional snapper weight is best for general fishing.
  3. a standard dessert spoon goes 3-4ounces.. and its only a mm of lead or two over the surface that takes it from 3 to 4 ounces.. a huge salad spoon could weigh anything!!!
  4. 3-4 ounces dependant on the spoon and how much you fill it... and yeah... i can launch a bait out a full distance with out too many problems...
  5. travel safe mate!it is how ever 4m swell over there at moment... not your usual days fishing... this is pics taken from shore.. few km up the coast.. . some word class Tow in surfers and teams have been in the area.. these guys are pretty much super stars on the scene.. 2x winner of World Big Wave surfer of the year...photos taken not far from venus bay..

  7. 12'-14' Snyders and Butterworths older than me mostly.. with Alveys 650-651's ( i have 5 of them) also have 3 12' standards with a jarvis walker 6500 or my preferred reels the Okumas 850-900's and now have a new snyder 8w 144 set up for a spin ill hook one of my big okumas on it.. all spooled with mono from 25-30lbrigs, Patternosters with ganged 5/0's or single 6/0s. general fishing i use same line as my rig. Fishing with nev on the stones i drop down to 15lb maybe 20lb for my sinker line. and me and softy custom make our sinkers.. SPOONs.. yes.. kitchen spoons.. pour them out one aft

  10. i can attest first hand at the tourism benefit that the shark dives bring to Lincoln... considering we offer it as part of our tour experience! i havnt had a tour this year with out shark divers on it. dropped 4 off this week. 3 last week. our bus on the road at the moment has EVERY passenger on the Perth-Adelaide trip ALL doing the shark dive. i still think the 350,000NZ fur seals would have a fair attractiveness to them...

  23. hehhe cheers JM, i still wake up wondering how or why.. i fell into this job purely by accident.. and im loving it!picked up the new canera today as it was delivered hours after i left for last tour. cant wait to get out the SLR and take some proper pics!!!didint take many this tour. but i do have some of WA burnt out camp sites etc. will get some up and some sweet sharking picks again.
  24. Manimal, the Whale bone and picture below it are from Thistle, the Kangaroo and the Goanna are from Lucky, and yes.. company is just a bonus.. getting paid to stay at lucky bay 3 nights a month is a great thing on its own
