I use a release weight Just a big sinker on a hand line with an old stainless hook moulded into the sinker upside down.Cut the point and barb off with wire cutters so no one gets hurt. Then tie an old handline to the U of the hook. When sinker hits bottom fish swims off :woohoo:

  4. I have a certate 3500 hd with good 30 pd braid :Pfantastic reel I continue to underestimate the size of snap, sharks and rays I bring up because it is so easy to use :woohoo:

  14. I get wildly sea sick when I tie rigs so I do them at home :boat:Then get a CD wallet from the cheapy shop $2-5 :icon_e_biggrin:Roll up the rigs and tuck them into the sleeves.Never tangle easy to get to 30 rigs ready to go from gar, snapper and even a trace for small sharks
  15. Carps has got the idea coconut cream Thai curry :icon_e_wink:
  16. This looks like an easy system to useDo you work in a shop stocking these finatic? I have had lots of trouble staying on a spot While fishing the boat will just decide to do a 360 flip so have to quickly bring in all lines? .anchor.I enjoy drift fishing and have strugled to get the boat to sit bow into wind. Even with a large sea anchor, I need to experiment more. Might be conbination of cabin canopy and ally tri hull! .boat.The boat is a big stable table to fish off even if it does sit side on to the waves in 15-20 kn
  17. Just like it would in any other estuary :icon_evil:Couldn't do the fishing any harm
  18. I have lost big fish to Cheap snap swivels .hissy.They slowly straightened out on me.But I do still use the expensive snaps for boat fishing so I can quickly rerig. To stop tangles and rod damage I derig when moving spots. :boat:Never had a failure with the good ones

  20. G'Day Yobbo & JaggerI have the large snapper moulds 8,10,16,24OZThat I would be happy to lend out :icon_cool:I have yet to use the 24oz I don't think I would be able to wind it back up :icon_lol:But I use it for a weight in the berley potYou only fill the size you want .I have just made a batch of the tier drops with the swivel. I think they are the same as yobbo's.But I would get in line for the jig heads :icon_e_wink:
  21. I like the old DUNLOP VOLLEY :icon_idea: $20, non marking sole, excellent grip and if they get smelly thro them in the washing machine. When they get holes they become gardening shoes :icon_e_biggrin:Or cut the tongue on laces of and you have some new slippers :icon_lol:
  22. Try making some sort of "wad" to support the bait as it accelerates. IE a plastic cup so bait and sinker sit inside cup. The cup goes inside the tube then as it comes out of the tube air resistance will slow the cup. The sinker and bait will continue line will tangle around eyelet of rod . Then the whole lot ends up 50m away in a big birds nest.
