Nice pictures Adrian and just when I thought I was getting use to the cold here in Adelaide you just mad me even colder all of a sudden

Reports around the Port Lincoln area have suggested the KG's have slowed and will be slow for the week coming due to the bloodworm run. The area around Coffin Bay has Salmon (Gunyah Bch). Farm Bch is better with KG's in 2-4mtrs of water and also a number of reports from Seal Corner. The Ledge for KG's & Salmon Trout also. Inside the Coffin Bay National Pk bay they have been getting Flathead and whiting.

Also, for those that don't have a dehydrator (or oven lol) and the above is wanting you to try it, you can use an electric fan. just place the marinated strips of meat on a wire rack and point the fan at it all day or overnight. Just don't have the fan too close or on extra fast speed as you don't want the meat strips to fly up against the wall !!

I've made some jerky before using the oven and was quite nice. I have considered buying a dehydrator, Harris Scarfes seems to have an ok one and is quite tempting when they put it on special @ $50. I don't have any 'special' jerky recipe, in fact I don't have any, I just googled it to find something that sounded nice But when you find the 'holy grail' of jerky recipes, I'll come around and help you eat it

That's a good idea Adrian, and even better was Pam going and actually getting it for you

Hope you get onto a few Micky - and you will certainly look the part with the new beanie and neck warmer

Early season river strategies.. "Bait & Lure".

Well, I'm not a trout fisherman, but looking at the photos (of the many that you have put up) it just shows that how relaxing it can be. The sitting on the banks waiting for that little tap on the rod tip, sitting amongst the trees and bush, watching the water flow by, are all the way life should be -
Some nice sunsets Adrian. Pity they are not as good as in Adelaide lol Just making you 'home' sick

The last one is good but must admit I like them all and hard to chose the 'best'.

That's a great video compilation of your adventures on the river. Some great scenery photos and of course some great fish shots. I look forward to the next 10 years

The old Footscray Footy Club and maybe he was still involved for their first Premiership - but typical Victorians, always had to have bigger footies But great memories all the same.

The black & Whites certainly do take on another dimension of a photo. I particularly like the 3rd (bridge) and 8th (mountain). And that's a fairly big fat football your holding.

Some good fish caught by the looks on the day and quality wasn't too bad really

Nice backyard Adrian

Good on you Adrian on trying to repair it and now hope it stands up to those fierce trout you catch. I'm sure it will have different effect in the water with the slightly different angle - who knows, it might prove to be the best lure you have

I'm going over that way also, same places and number of nights and could be in October as well - I'll wear my SH cap
-
A good paddle around anyway and will be interesting on your next trip to see if they are on the bite with a different tide level etc. With the cold weather I bet the 'toy' had shrunk' !!

Thanks Pete, Had a look at a few and look good but as you say it's in Polish so have no idea what he is saying
-
It would have been nice just sitting there without a care in the world - quiet and just listening to nature and you can't beat that
-
That is one big brown, almost looks abnormal Good photos of the trout run and would be great sitting there watching them try to jump the obstacles.
-
Nice pick up of lures and a good price and all it took was a 'rumour' and a phone call.

That bloke brought in those 2 salmon for weigh in...thinking they weighed a kilo each... both weighed under 600grams.... Still good little scrapers thats for sure.... You know how we like to say their bigger than they really are He reckoned they were just under the kilo when he went past me - and they did look a good size from the distance when he caught them - bet he was a little disappointed
