We caught something similar but brown in colour out the end of te channel last weekend

the aird does the job really well. pretty happy with it.

a less obrtusive colour would have been better. like lime.

I got 15lb sunline on my whiting/snapper sp rod. Nice and smooth and thin. Got 6lb white sunline on my aird 2000. Casts really well and is super thin. Love it

softys got a sol. cant remember if its 2000 or 2500. but it seems to be the best lil all round reeel ever.

got the daiwa aird 2000sh. looks teh goods. let ya know when i land a fish with it. spooled with 6lb sunline white.

so. cuaght a kgw whiting in the lake today on a SP. and i feel a new addiction comming on. i had a daiwa tierra 2500 which shat it self. proberly due tot he fact i used it for yfw and that always ends up in dunking ahhaha. lucky i got it on the cheap.So to get ot the point. i want a reel for using around westlakes onk the pat and port and probaly some fresh stuff every now and then. have 120 in vouchers to R n A's. so might be able to nudge past 200 mark if im stingy ona f ew things.What u fellas think. im starting to have a thing for daiwas for some reason but still feel free to throw ur idea

sooo. i have all my combos all sorted for this summer. except for a shark combo now. having never used overhead gear before. i reckon id like to stick to non-conventinal sorta gear. ive been havinga a squiz and the penn reels keep popping up. i had a look at them and the spinfisher 950SSm can hold almost 700 yrds of 50lb braid with 15lbs of drag. now im wondering if id get away with out the live liner function if i just hvae the drag down low and kick it up once i start getting a run? whats ur thoughts?thoughts on a rod would be also good. most of the sharking i would do would be landbased. c

havent had any problems so far

caught nine yfw with a simple running rig friday. ball sinker on my braid. swivel. 40-50 cms of mono or fluro and a hook. easy to prepare. no fuss. and gets the job done. sometimes i think it doesnt matter what sort of rig u use if uve got the right bait.

Well after a bit of a long day at work today thought it would b nice to head to the beach with a few tinnys and see if the yfw had arrived yet. Went and got some tubeys and the bloke in the tackle shop at comercial rd said it looked alright happy daysso got to the beach and there was one group set up straight from the beach entry and so i walked over and past them and saw there wasnt much goign on so kept on my wander up the beach and through me line in at nice lil looking spot. No hits. was still al ittle early tho. So thought id go for a wade out to the second sandbar and have a flick.Waded

Daiwa Catalina Nabura 67 is now on laybye and only 245 left to pay off . now i just gotta find a bigger reel for when i use it tooo catch the deep dark monsters that it can handle. whos got some suggestions. i got suggested the new ci4 rarenium 5000. im guessing anything that handles over 300ms of 30lb?cheers (super excited) Grego.
