  1. Can't tell you much about the rod only that i have heard they are the goods. But a can tell you that the reel will be everything you want of it for the job. P.S. Welcome to the site and enjoy the reading. :woohoo:
  2. Hi HookstersWent out for a fish on the weekend, on my way stopped in for some bait which was 2kg of pillies did'nt really look at them till i got to my destination. Well i have to say they were no bigger than the ones you get in a can of sardines, i could not even use them for any mullies as most will know bigger baits = bigger fish. so i guess they will be used for berley now, is this the norm across the board now or was this just a once off.Is it that hard to get decent bait now. Has anyone else found this as well ?

    bait

You gotta be rich or desperate to buy bait from a servo, i did once and once only never again. $20 for a few cockles is ridiculous and that was before the cockle closure of late. Your best bet is to take Ranger up on whatever he offers, i'm sure of that. Good luck :woohoo:
  11. You should have a chat at one of your secret shopper stores for some advice as well. :woohoo:
  12. LMAO My sides are killing me.
  13. Well done JJ and the Banga crew, even the weather looked better there than here. :woohoo:
  14. Heard the same VG, no where near as good quality as our Goolwa one's though.

  17. Hi HookstersBack from my trip, did’nt get a line in at Echuca as the water was running to hard but still a nice place to visit with the old vintage and Holden museums. From there up to sunny QLD with the best temp of 27 deg, did some fishing of a pontoon in a water way off the Coomera river and landed my first fish in no time of a 32cm bream. This fish was quickly claimed by our host and was very much enjoyed. All fish there after were all C&R with the best catch being a 41cm bream and a 39.5cm, the total all up was a good session of 7 Bream and 1 I think was a Tailor of around 45cm.
  18. I could'nt tell you exactly where over that way you may find them but am sure someone will. As for collecting 20 or so that's fine too as the legal limit is 25 per person or 75 per boat, they are fantastic KGW bait and are pretty good done on the BBQ.
  19. Watched this also, looks to have been a great experience well done. :woohoo:
  20. Agree with you on the Abu 7000 mate, that would be my choice anyway.
  21. ( Puppet Master )A hand up the backside does not dictate whether i go fishing or not, it is my choice as i have been doing this as a littler tacker than i am now. :woohoo:
