I find that the YFW in metro area mixied with people swimming. Most of the time i caught my fish (YFW) very close to where people swim. They probably like it when the people stirring up the sand and uncover their food.

Went fishing off the Brighton jetty from 9pm to 12am. The water very calm. Plan was fishing for whiting but ended up with 28 tommies. Good size too. They all stocked for bait. Hundred of them under the jetty but really slow biting. No whiting at all.

The worms that you try to catch is beach worm. They doesn't have tube. The tube worm...you need to dig or pump to get them. I still struggling to catch my first worm my self

Should we include live tube worm as its a good bait for YFW too.

I normally dry the cockle until it elastic. It stay longer on the hook.

Fishing at Brighton jetty today after 5pm till 8pm and caught 5 whiting, 1 mullet, 1 undersize flathead and 1 undersize bream. A lot of bite. An old man that came later than me caught more. Someone caught big bream but didn't managed to land it. Ray went past under me three times. So, while i was there i saw whiting, bream, ray, flathead, skate and mullet. There is rumors someone caught mulloway there too. End of report. Milmo

So that place really keep treasures.

This is late report. Went fishing to Outer Harbour last saturday morning and caught 5 undersize snapper 30cm - 35cm and surprised with the shark. This is my first ever snapper and shark. The snapper bite on squid tentacle and worm. Undersize but there is always start for anything. All released. Went to Seacliff today and fishing in front the lifesaving club. No wind and the water really calm. The water crystal clear.. but managed to land one 30cm bream, 2 YFW 34c and 37cm which is the biggest YFW i ever caught so far. I may caught more if i didn't lost my rig so i decide to go home.

Anyone know where to buy live worm that close to the city as i live just in Norwood. I normally buy this worm from the tackle shop at St Kilda but a bit far for me if i want to fish Brighton or Tennyson area.

Same size to what i caught today down brighton.

Hello everyone, i wonder... is shrimp have legal size to catch? I've been searching on PIRSA site but can't find any info other than the shrimp trap. I heard that people use it for fishing in River Murray but what about i bring it home and use it somewhere else?

If i have to choose Brighton or Port Noarlunga jetty, i prefer P. Noarlunga. The older people there more friendly and easy to talk.
