  1. Everytime butters and i go fishing he always cuts himself on something....knife, hook, squashes his finger in some pliers, flathead......anything!The flatthead belly slime helped relieve most of the pain from memory, but he still bled like a stuck pig! {SMILIES_PATH}/rolleyes.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/rolleyes.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gif

  13. I'll give it a go Yak Just for shits and giggles {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gifHave you ever tried to pick up a dog, or any animal for that matter which doesn't want to be held?Well the outcome is that they'll simply squirm and try to wriggle their way out, or at worst, just piss bolt and climb a tree or something and make it impossible for you to catch them. Now i'm not saying fish don't feel pain, cause frankly i wouldn't have clue. But how about the thought that fish fight back because of the resistance in their mouth? I notice ( apart from a few species ) that most hooked fish fight away or sid

  19. Can work for those who want to sit a bait on the bottom, but can't get the required distance with a cast. Tie a small strip of line off your main swivel, directly to a lifesaver. Then from the lifesaver, tie off around a metre or so of line to a balloon and float the bait out.Once the lifesaver has disolved the balloon attachment comes off, sending your bait down right were you need it....Obviously winds and tides play a big role in this too {SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif
  20. I'm using nitlon braid aswell brenton, not sure if it was 14 or if they make it in 15lb? ( josh a little help {SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif )So far i haven't had any problems with air knots, and i've used it for salmon down at yorkes, and a lot of unweighted bait fishing aswell. When i loaded the spool up i then took it outside and hooked the line up to a tree, ran down the street under 3/4 tension, and then wound it back up tight.I looked like a total kn*b-head to my neighbours, but so far the line has been good for me....

  24. Interesting about the weights versus measurements scenario. My 13.8kilo fish went 108cm and had a nice slender shape about it.When i compare that to butters 30lb'er his was a little shorter but a much more box shape. Very square nose and bump.
