Thinking ahout using mine as a surf reel, can't see why not.... any ideas which rod this might match up with well? Was thinking saltiga sensor surf but they are more designed for the sensor surf reel which I think is much lighter than my Z4500.... any one else use this reel for surf fishing? What do you have it matched up with?Targetting mullies and big teeth, need to throw big grapnels and big baits

Yep, that's the one, I've checked my other daiwa reels, certate and tierra and neither of them have one attached under the spool either.... odd

I've got a saltiga Z4500 and saltiga hiramasa 63S.Actually while I'm talking about that, and I dont want to hijack this thread but does anyone know if this is from the reel? It fell off when I pulled it out the other day....

Not too expensive those jigs either Was going to get a couple of others in the 120g size. Most likely will in the next few weeks

Pretty heavy reel it'd probably pay you to take it into a tackle shop and try and match it up (balance wise) with some rods. I think the penn sports could be an option though...
