Hi Micky. Check out the Shimano Sling tackle bag at BCF. Might be what you want. Regards, HBt.

I was there yesterday didn’t see it the worker didn’t know about it . Early days yet I’ll keep looking a walk there is good exercise .

Have you looked at Kmart and such? Surely they would have a bag to suit.

Not yet Softy it came to me yesterday morning about 10 am and I tossed up 5 minute walk to BCF or slightly longer walk to anaconda and get swooped by a pluver . Found out with the stick takes longer than 5 minutes lol . It’s just me thinking if I can’t find what I want I’ll just keep using the back pack .  But once I’m free of the stick I’ll be back sticks not permanent kids want me bait fishing again nope .

Also found a cheaper version on a roadside junk pile😉

I needed a tackle storage solution for wading

I just cut the internals out of a soft esky and sewed in the shoulder harness with $2 buckles from Aussie disposals😉

    Anaconda might have something.

What about a wading bag like the alvey ones.

I want one that I can carry lures line scissors pliers . But less lures than I carry in my back pack . Thinking of  making it easier to walk when I get back . I do live near anaconda as well but I’ll drive during the week .

  5. I’m hoping not to far away to be able to fish again . Went by foot to BCF five minutes around the corner from home . Longer with the walking stick. I was thinking of buying a smaller bag that I can sling over my shoulder take less fishing . BCF had smaller bags nothing to sling over the shoulder . Anyone have a clue as to who sells them . I know when I’m back it will only be short trips . Thanks guys

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but seeing it wasn't closed, thought I add my 2 cents.

Back in the 70's and early 80's we'd venture to the OH breakwater a couple of times year. Always in daylight. Night, lol, was too much like playing Russian roulette with the devil.

Aside from mulloway and snapper, if you were lucky, you'd hook up some decent size King Gorge Whiting too. Though, to be fair, in those days, fish were aplenty, locally.

Unless the breakwater has undergone repairs since, rock hopping was definitely a task you had to take care at.  The snail win the race on this one, that's for sure.

The other thing, not sure if it's still a problem, but there was a vermin (rat) issue. Some where the size of small cats, and not scared to have a got at you, if you cross paths with them. Hence a good pair of solid boots, with a well gripping sole, and even steel caps wont go astray. Especially if those rats are still inhabiting the rocks.

Just quoting you I used to live at Taperoo on the way to outer harbour left there about 10 years ago . Rats and brown snakes were always a big problem from Taperoo to north haven . When I bait fished the north haven marina used to watch the rats run up the rocks and straight into the expensive houses . That was the 80/90s . I never went out far on the break water iirc used to be a little wharf there used to catch STs there in the late 90s early 00s. Then I got attacked and stung by European wasps . Good luck

  7. Ok while I’m layed up I can answer some of your questions

1 if you see bream they see you  2 soft plastics if it’s high tide cast the direction the tide comes in or if it’s low tide cast the other direction . That’s what I was told when I went from hardbodies to plastics .

3 bait I haven’t used it in years but perhaps burley up with something

4 on your soft plastics try some scent

5 I assuming when you use the plastic you cast let it sink two twitches and repeat I used to do that ,

    hope that helps

Tackleworld have the Infeet 7'2 0.5-3kg but I reckon the 7'3 1-4kg might be what I am after and they don't have it! Bit of a drive to The Scene but I might ring em.

You could go online and buy it over the net many places are free shipping

  9. Ok guys I’ve been using the team Diawa hyper rod 1-3 kilos love it . Have yet to catch a legal bream been having fun with tiny STs yesterday 36 today 25 . I’ve been swapping with three reels besides the 2500 reel as I’ve mentioned using laguna 1000 and sienna 1000 . Same rod smaller lures . Laguna reel when I got over the line issues casts the smaller lures further than the Sienna. Rod I’m happy with

Since i saw the AIRD-X combos almost 2 years ago i wanted one but to tight to pay the $250ish. BCF doing a clearance at the moment because the new AIRD 20's are out. So at 00:30 this morning before waiting to leave for the Coorong i bit the bullet. 2-4kg 2500. Club price $160 but i had a $20 voucher i won from the Gone Fishing Day so worked out to be $140. My kinda price.

Now to figure out what braid weight to run... I've always run 8lb but might go down to 6lb. Do people think that the 2lb makes a lot of difference? I've already decided on 8x J-Braid.

Are you flicking lures at bream then yes at least 6 lb braid and 4 lb leader

I actually saw the Zing this when their sale thing popped up on FB this morning. I considered it but not sure i want a 1-3kg i'm used to using 2-4kg

Then ill have to buy a reel to suit...... then braid.....

I’m loving it with my 1000 reels haven’t respooled the 750 yet but it’s good with the 2500 . Funny how you can feel the tiny tiny fish now for legal or bigger . braid I’m using 6 lb on the sienna 5 lb on the laguna and other diawa reel plus all three use 4 lb FC .  Into the centre of the Pat today into the wind was like a 2-4 kilo rod

    Has been since Sunday.

Well Sunday was all thunder and lightning just don’t want cops storming down the hill telling me fishing isn’t exercise again :) seeing I’ve finished my volunteering for job seeker for the week I have time for a quick fish tomorrow

    No chit !!

What I don’t get 10 people running close together the cops ignored mamils on bikes close together ignored but me 😂

ive heard reports police have stopped two people from one house in a car and told them it’s illegal to do that but you can exercise together 🤷‍♂️

Surely the Woodville Pizza Bar would have been asked for a list of their employees from SAHealth if the other infected security guard from Peppers worked there as well. Maybe some of the heat should be put on them instead of just this individual worker, after all they were employing him weren't they? Not just selling him a pizza!

Why are the F'N staff from these Medi-hotels working more than one job! Get the right staff and pay them enough wages Steven Marshall otherwise this is quite likely to happen again somewhere.

At a guess the ATO should goose step in cash in hand jobs aren’t legal and if anyone is getting benefits Centrelink should goose step in
