Get into them while stocks last, they dont last long. Second hand CCs were going for 40-50 bucks on ebay and some fishing forums.

Brown Crab, and Olive Crab are the ducks guts on SA bream. You will cry golden tears every time you lose one but. Harder to get than a date with Miranda Kerr, who is almost as good as Cranka Crabs, just don't stick the tongue in on the first date. Sand Crab is popular interstate too.

That is one gorgeous cod, seen this pic a few times, but always like seeing it again. By the way, what did the rod taste like?

A couple of my fave pics. But you won't get me changing my profile pic for all the tea in China. Rotare easily has my fave avatar on this site. He says it's his missus, but somebody also told me it was his sister....

Soft Plastic Rigging and Techniques
Tinker replied to sbarnden's topic in How to guides and DIY projects
A thread like this is good enough for a fishing magazine. I like seeing a method of fishing SPs I have never tried before, thanks for that mate. Reckon you could be in the running for the S&H comp with this little article, you definitely got my attention, and explained things easily. Good luck in the comp, and thanks for a new angle on fishing softs. -
Awesome thread topic. Most fishos are full of good ideas. Keep them coming folks. And Seagypsy, thanks for firing it up mate.

Digging for bloodworms gives you one of the best baits out for catching bream. Keep worms alive by changing seawater daily, or preserve when live in metho which tenses them up before they freeze. Too many bait and tackle shops sell bloodworms that are only frozen, not preserved which turn to mush when they thaw. If you dig for tubeworms and wish to preserve, salting up the live worms seems to keep them in better condition. Buy a bait pump and pump nippers for bream and whiting, only use fresh as they are delicate little buggers and don't freeze well. If freshwater fishing in the Murray, b

Pity I can only LIKE something once, this deserves at least 3. Any chance of getting a freshwater and river report too? Sure Tony B & Weaver would be happy to help if they can. Love FishingSA, best mag in Oz.

The pictures no longer work though http://www.strikehook.com/index.php/topic/1425-crossing-the-road/ Seen baby flathead crossing the road at Pt Gawler on a 2.7m high tide.

I would say Yorke Penninsula. Ardrossan has been getiing good reports lately, and from Price down to Edithburgh there is good fishing. Drop into the Edithburgh tackle shop and he will point you in the right direction. Or you can choose Moonta, or Wallaroo, that's if the jetty is open. Marion Bay is worth a stay as well, the sky is the limit on Yorkes. Easy 2 hour drive on good roads too, at least until Pt Wakefield. And while you are over there, drop into the Minlaton Bakery, absolutely stunning pies.....

Caught in Italy in the Po Delta, this species of Wels Catfish can grow to 4m in length and over 400kgs. Robson Green is gonna be pissed when he sees this...lol.

Did anybody else hear about this catch that occurred overseas recently?

Yeah I got an Alvey, it stinks, I hardly use it much but I love it, worth getting one. Even better if you can make your own though the Alveys don't cost much. And Alvey make the best bait pumps on the market, also worth checking out if you are after nippers..

I didn't mind Chuck's footage one bit, quite enjoyed it actually. Why so serious?

New large trawler to open up Australian fishery
Tinker replied to Tacklebags's topic in Industry News
Yeah I remember that, was supposed to be French divers but never confirmed for memory. Can't remember why it was bombed, just that the suspects were extremely pissed off about something. Bit like we all feel about marine parks and NTZs. -

If somebody could lend me a drill that works underwater, I will happily sacrifice quality fishing time to drill lots of little holes in it and sink the bastard. Make a nice artificial wreck. -
Fingers crossed for the S&H folks.

Alex's fishing. He fishes almost the same way I do, catching many of the same fish species. Part of the problem with fishing shows on TV and Pootube, they don't often target the bread and butter species that most of us catch. At least Alex hits the nail on the head in that department.
