  1. Mate, Im glad I got the seed planted.Id stick with Broughton and you will be stoked. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Go out and get stuck in. Im jealous already, I think I might have to book a trip with my wifes boss from work. Hes keen to land a trophy fish.If you do end up going with Trev and I hope you do, let him know that you heard of this through Mick and Brett Oakley from Adelaide. :cheer:..Oh yeah, one last thing, I just thought that I would let you know that Trev's charters are the ONLY charter that I will cough up my do for now. I will only ever be using this charter f
  2. cant help you with how much braid it will hold - (should be truckloads), but I can tell you that you will love this reel. They a re so reliable and solid. Theyre a fantastic snapper reel.
  3. Mate give Trevor at Double Header Fishing Charters at Port Broughton a call on this number and ask if he can accommodate 12. I know he can definately do 10.Heres Trev's number 04 2884 0952There is way more snapper up the top end of Spencer's Gulf at that time of year, so for value for money I would be driving to Port Broughton. I would organise a room the night before at the Broughton Hotel and then get up and get ready for some of the best fishing you are likely to see.His charters are freaking awesome.Ive done a couple now and one word WOW.Big Reds and plenty of them :cheer: :cheer:
  4. Nice one srick. looks like the big fish are on the chew.would this be a resident fish or one moving in to spawn.I have heard that the redder the snap the more crustaceans its been feeding on. what did ya catch this one one?Love the feeling of releasing a big fish.I let one go for a mate called shane that was over 10kilo, when it kicked it nearly sprained my wrist. It then dove straight down like a torpedo. Nothing can top that feeling of seeing it swim free. GREAT FISH AND GREAT FOOTAGE.although my sound doesnt work so thats a bit of a bummer for me. :woohoo:
  5. Yeah sweet. cant beet the certate.Their very, very nice.Hope you slay a few with it bro.
  6. Hi Matt, I have a Certate Hyper custom 4000 (Lot bigger than the model you are looking at I know) but I use mine for chasing reds, but unfortunately every time I have used my certate lady luck has been against me.When I switch back to my shimano Overhead, I land truck loads of reds.Hopefully soon I will get to chrisen the Hyper, and let you all know how it performs. It is as smooth as a babies bum though. It seriously is the best reel I have every owned.I have a luvias 2500 and I think the Hyper is way smoother than that. ;D :
  7. You would think that Jason Kennedy's catch phrase should be Stop the BOAT...dont know of anyone fishing out of Busses. .hissy. :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
  8. They do look the goods thats for sure.was going to buy one when last picking out a snapper stick, but ended up going for a Calstar (Graphite) from the US.I still have one on my wish list...but on that wish list is also a PBR pro blue by GLOOMIS.The Calstar has performed beutifully for me though.Have moved on now and now fish Saltiga Hirimassa but are yet to land a fish on this. The Tex's look trully sensational and look to be great value for money.
  9. Great recipe there buddy.Good way to accidently poisen the wife and or kids.I bet they would taste a bit funky.Maybe it would kill any internal bugs you had LOL :icon_lol:
  10. I just tried to be clever and thought.you are hooked fish.and shortened it down to Urhookedfish.I think its the best part of fishing. The Hook-Up :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
  11. sounds good Bigash.I probably havent got a chance in hell of winning but youve got to be "IN-IT-TO-WIN-IT" :icon_e_biggrin: ;D :icon_e_biggrin: :icon_lol:
  12. I have to agree with Finatic. Some fantastic advice and pics there. If its Japanese, its usually excellent quality.I use only the fluro pink yo-zuri in small and medium size. The smaller size is better when touchy but the medium jag covers more ground when casting. The yo-zuri has the wicked coloured pattern under the cloth and I think that this in itself is the primary factor that makes them work well and out perform cheaper jags. The best part about owning a japanese quality jag is the balance, because of this you can even troll at extremely low speeds with your jag out the back of the boat unt
  13. Well done Tyke, dont know if I can say this but that is a shithot fish.Moderators can edit that out if they like :icon_e_biggrin:
