  1. Man I'd love to fight a 62cm Flathead! Might have to invest some time on the flats!!
  2. Anyone ever had issues with the Nitro heads being mis-shaped/bad mould? Its happened to me 3 times with the 1/8th heads and caused them to swim majorly to one side.. switched to TT and Squidgy heads now and never had the same problem
  3. Surely you could get away with a bigger stronger hook like a 1/0 or 2/0, if not, I think the Squidgy Finnese heads have a decently thick shank and come in something around 1/8th. Different keeper system though.Better luck next time mate, guessing your not in SA catching Trevs and Queenies?
  4. I hooked a mulloway in West Lakes on a soft plastic but lost it at my feet.. plastics are worth trying just about anywhere IMO, way more entertaining than bait fishing too
  5. Hey Kuerschie, I can't comment on those Samaki's you've mentioned, but I use the 4-8lb 2pc Skitch Nano and I have found it to be an awesome rod especially for the price of $89.99. I was always a Shimano guy but after comparing to my previous Shimano rod in the same price bracket I would take the Samaki hands down. I absolutely love it! I believe the Ecooda rods are made by the same mob too.I also have the 7'2 4-10kg Junglestix (not for bream) and to me it is average, feels like a cheap rod, I think youd be going backwards going from a Raider to a Junglestix if the lighter rods are of the same
  6. Cheers PP, I always feel guilty haha.. Could never take a Bream though!
  7. Caught this flathead last weekend in the tinny at Outer Harbour on a 70mm Flickbait. My PB at 40cm and also my first on lure, was stoked.. Now to find a big female ;)Normally all my fishing is catch and release but you have to enjoy the fruits of your labour once in a while, I had never tried Flathead before and it certainly didn't go to waste!
  8. Yeah dude I've caught YFW and bream on those Gulp Sandworms in Camo but I cut them down to about 3 inches in length to avoid tail biters, this way you get 3 lures out of 1 too and they probably work out cheaper than live tubies or similar worms
  9. Hell yeah guys awesome job! I've been trying there lately too and actually caught my first mully earlier tonight on a soft plastic in West Lakes. I was so pumped but as I grabbed the leader the fish shook it's head and spat the lure :c I was spewing! Going to get a landing net tomorrow Great footage I might look into getting one of those cameras, which one is that Alex, the under water footage is great!
  10. Thanks guys and thanks for supporting the site!
  11. I agree, I'm all for fishing licenses or something similar and I'd be happy to pay a fee if it keeps majority of these idiots out of our waterways
  12. I use the Stradic Ci4 and love it mate, can't fault it
  13. Great stuff mate, hoping to get to the onk soon for the first time! Well done on the mullys!
  14. Yeah I've got the previous model in the 2500 size and I love it, so light!
  15. Thanks for that, I just checked out the website and it looks like a great charter. Wouldn't mind getting into some Tuna!Good to hear you bagged out every time too, good stuff mate
  16. Hi guys I'm thinking of going on a charter with a couple mates next month for my 21st and I was just after any reccomendations and info you could pass on to help me choose one. I'd love to have the opportunity to catch a snapper but that's about the only thing I have in mind as far as nailing it down to one charter. Yorkes or metro, cheers!
  17. Ive seen them before in the bait freezer at my local servo, so I should think tackle stores would if they stock SA Bait Supply
