I had a saratoga boat rod that didnt cost all that much and it never let me down runners ,seat still in good nick after 5 years not like a penn rod i just had fixed never used it and the insert to one runner just fell out .

Right lads i went down to collanades tonight as had to take the ol mum to get some prescrips from the chemist ,so while we were waiting i had a look ,the line is stren magnathin mono in moss green (why they have to give em fancy names i dont know) anyway 5.00 a 300 yd spool ranging in breaking strain from i think about 6 - 30 lb so there is the update.

Hi all well when i was down at boganades the other day i stopped in at big w to have a look for some nucke chicken softies ,anyway while i was there i saw this line called stren microflex and it was only 5,00 something a spool ,i didnt buy any but this was for around 300mtrs of this stuff anyone ever used it dont know how it can be so cheap .

I agree with piranha ,when i was looking at the same thing for throwing soft plastics ,the place i bought my shimano suggested that i buy a 2500 rather than a 1000 same price ,The thinking behind it was what if you want to change from s/p to bait a 1000 is a reel that might have to be used for that purpose only ,i opted for the 2500 sienna 50 bills cant go wrong teamed with my 7 foot shimano telescopic as far as i can tell seems like a good outfit for s/p and bait .

When there gone there gone mate ,there is a reason why they have a legal limit .Most people would not have been able to afford a high court challenge if it was not payed for by some other person or government department . So now this opens the door to other indigenous persons to take undersized shellfish what will happen when the species is descimated there who will get the blame ?
