  12. Small advice for what its worth FSW if you love your fishin'don't work or attempt to work in a tackle or camping shop :woohoo: you will end up working all of the times of which you currently utilize for fishin'I've had some great staff over time that end up 1) not fishing 2) hating their work & begrudging it because it cuts short fishing time 3) leaving the industry for that very reason for me as an employer & reading between the lines from Spotter they'd agree, I'd suggest a good fisho is the last thing I need to mould into a good retailer   A good retailer

  16. Squidley, sorry to point out the obvious the Australian agent will of course declare the product as he's am importer this will load it with around 40% duty tax $312 don't forget, GST to be added another $109.10,  freight to the retailer?? $60?? :( thats now cost the aussie guy $1261, :woohoo: :woohoo: that would leave the fella on the end, the very one that carries the highest risk, and the very guy thats to provide service advice & backup if it shits itself $139 as his profit as he quoted $1400. :S :S He runs a store of some sort, employs people to put it in

  19. I hear what you're saying Mark, selfishly for me though, it has given us a day off,Dub's get to celebrate his birthday & well he did.Used to do the grind Xmas day away from family & friends & for the most part just to serve ice, nearly a pallet in '05 & '06now next to the servo with a pallet on the driveway, well,at least y'all can access some, slushy as it may be& I get a day with the kids.Finatic
  20. Kayakfisher, the original Aussie made Strudwicks were very good, the later chinese, well, Snapsticks may describe them better.I'll take your BCF voucher, for that matter I'll take any competitors voucher.Merry Xmas.Finatic

  22. If I read it properly you suggested using a wind on, if this is the case & you are using braid, tie a bimini twist to create a double then a tanaka loop to join the 2. See us instore if you don't know how to tie them, shall gladly show you but don't leave it till 23rd or 24th as half the population do to start their Xmas shopping.Finatic
  23. WOW, how is it that I've missed being in the middle of a burner? :woohoo: OH, I forgot, I've been trying to make a buck with my massive markups while the Xmas cheer & spirit is here.  B@K said & don't get me wrong I'm not here to slam youit's interesting when people start throwing around 'mark-up' as though it's some disease. The notion that a 100% markup is clear profit is a joke.100% mark-up on a product = 50% Gross Profit.66% mark-up = 40% Gross profit. Now, out of that gross profit, all running costs must be taken out to leave you with a net profit. And you have a
  24. Carps, from the outside looking in, took this in July 2008, at that time you could walk across the river & not get your kneecap wet.Now that bank in the background is about to breach with about 3m more water up it than back then.Good luck hope not too much a mess is made & Merry Xmas in the attic.Finatic
  25. Sorry for the confusion, they may well have mainstream bibbed minnows available to all of mankind & by the sounds of the quality that's why we don't have them. Quite simply the Chinese do not develop product they merely copy somebody elses & make it cheaper. The product developed for us ie Tackleworld stores is meticulously scrutinized & thoroughly tested prior to it reaching our shelves, if its not good enough for us, its not good enough for you & it does not make it to our stores. The squid jags we've had for a little over 14 months are & will continue to be fantastic &
