Raider 19
Cheers fella's unfortunately the charter I was suppose to go on this Sunday has been cancelled due to bad weather, so I would still like to wet a line a some point this weekend I am just trying to work out where. Will these westerly's make it difficult to fish everywhere?
ausea 4
With a strong westerly blowing being at southport may pay off for some salmon.i did catch a big one there 6/7 weeks ago at night, was a calm night.

netman21 0
if you have a car a westerly wind can be good for salmon at waitpinga beach but the rain forecast is,nt looking great 40mm over the weekend that can reach 60mm down that way.
jagger 24
Don't worry about the rain, the fish are already wet Tinker

adubz 0
I gave it a crack between 8-10am today but had no luck. Spoke to a local down there that said its been a terrible Salmon season for them so far this year

Damo67 6
Drove past about 1pm Sunday. 4 Brave souls on PNJ. Switched SW later in the day which by all reports is better.
Mr_Willy 3
Yep... problem with the wind most of the weekend was it was a North Westerly which isn't good for Salmon fishing - the dirty old south westerlies are the ones!
plankton 725
Drove past about 1pm Sunday. 4 Brave souls on PNJ. Switched SW later in the day which by all reports is better.I would have been one of them, went down for about an hour to mostly have a go for snapper (with no luck) saw one guy catch a small salmon as I was leaving.
