urhookedfish 12
Hey all, Im in the market for some new snapper leader/line to tie hooks with. Just wondering if I should go 40lb Jinkai or 10X.Have heard that some anglers have not been impressed with the non standard jinkai...(the soft or hard whatever it is)..I love the 60lb jinkai, but for local reds are going to drop this down to fourty pound so I can throw plastics with it as a long shock leader of a few rod lengths.Mates of mine use the Penn 10X and ive used it before and think its great value for money.any advice warmly welcomed. Yorky 309
I use the 10x in 20,40,60 & 80lb. I have never had a problem with it & find it ties well & has good knot strength so I am not planning to change, but in saying that if you love the jinkai in 60lb & can get the same one in 40lb, why changeYorky

Piranha 76
jinkai or black magic are really good that 10x is good for strength but as thick as clothesline wire

southie THE BANGA 2,304
i use black magic and JINKAI i use the jinkai for all my larger landbased species (mullies off ardrossan kingfish etc) and i have never had a problem with it, specially tying knots i think it makes it really strong and my knots that i use are tied really easily with the JINKAIBrayden
