  1. I release all my bream, mullies, flathead ,rock species, drummer, cuttlefish and trout. But must admit to killing all puffers that i get into the boat.I did keep a 20lb mully once but never again,I,d rather a feed of gar or whiting anyday. We don,t get many K/G over 40cm metro but i reckon these should be released as well. cheers brenton
  2. Yep it ran into the port, and an old nana i know used to visit her disabled son in escort house and the only way she could get there during winter was to walk along the beach from grange as the rest was flooded. cheers brenton
  3. Good on you Micky, you only live once so you might as well get what you want.Tonka is going to let me have a play with one of his one day but i fear it may be another addiction. cheers brenton
  4. I,m using it all the time Smiley and so far i,m impressed,im putting about 7 turns on the uni...about right you reckon or would you use more?......you don,t want royalties do you?? cheers brenton
  5. Try some cheap spinners in yellow and black or green and yellow or a scounger type grub in yellow/orange and you will soon know if there are reddies about. cheers brenton
  6. It depends what sort of snapper fishing your doing, for most of my deeper work i use a couple of shimano baitrunners 6500,some would say its overkill but i like it that way so i can get them up quicker and get back down while they are on,and in the shallows i like using my abu 6500 as i find it lighter and easier to catch the picky reds on lightly weighted baits.Something in the 4000-4500 range could probably cover both these scenario's but when its deep and the tide is ripping i prefer something like the 6500's to cope with the sinker weight and deal with the shitty by catch quickly.
  7. As Roger has said I would be very surprised if it doesn,t hold fish, give it a go after the rain has settled for a few days and show us your results. cheers brenton
  8. yeah its got a hood,i,m not sure how much it was as someone else bought it for me.pretty cheap though i,d reckon, maybe give them a ring. cheers brenton

  16. As you say Smiley,I would love to see it tested a bit more but if it out performs the improved albright that would be great because the albright is hard to get right.Keep up the good work.. cheers brenton
  17. I tried it out this morning on the bream Smiley and i reckon its tops, easy as pie and seemed pretty neat and if you,ve tested it and it out performed the double uni then its a pearler. cheers brenton
  18. I love the look of the bottom one myself cheers brenton
  19. Hi Vanders I use it on both large and small and have found it very good,I did have some teething problems though and lost a couple of good fish which i put down to the knot when it was probably the way i was tying it.Now i pull up the granny before i do the blood (4turn) and leave a decent tag end and all is good.N.B it will usually break before the dbl uni though in the case of snags and if i was say fishing for kingy or something i might not use it,instead going for a lure clip and doubled blood which IMO is the strongest knot i know how to tie.
  20. I see you stuck with green faithful Micky,it will be interesting to see how the "rocket "goes when things pick up in the lake. cheers brenton
  21. Hi Broker and welcome to S&H,I didn,t go this year as i was pretty disappointed with the whole thing last year. Not everyone is looking for a boat or has the money to upgrade but i used to enjoy the associated products and stands that were at the old shows,ie tackle shop specials, gadgets and new products tips on how to do this and that and i always used to come home with more than i had intended to buy.It also used to take about 3 hrs to get around the show and even then you might of missed something, now if your not buying a boat you could whip around in 25mins.So basically what i,m saying
  22. I get it now that i,ve read it for the second time,a small rubber band can help with the same situation as well.thanks Sp lash. cheers brenton

Hi mate i don't have one but after you have made it can i have some cockles,i'll give you my dog and permission to marry my daughter for half an esky load.seriously though they are pretty simple in design all it needs to have is a wide flat bottom and a deep net hanging out the back, pretty strong so it can cope with the weight of cockles and the swell...must be something on google if no one else gets back to you. cheers brenton
  25. I stand corrected. cheers brenton
