  8. a picture really does speak a thousand words..ive been in adealide for ten yrs now.. and never really had much to do with the river.. but that certainly shows hwo bad it is getting!
  9. was bout to say it would be at arno.. or lincoln! plenty of fish farming on the EP!
  10. nothings worse than a reformed smoker :Pboth my parents smoked while i was growing up and gave up.. luckily i was a teenage boy and getting in trouble for everything already.. so no major life changes lol
  11. any suggestions for a small smoker i can stow away inside when not in use...as i live in a block of units.. i cant really set up much outside.. but i love smoked fish!
  12. mussles are also fantastic this way!ive never got Goolwa cockles before.. but used to collect the local species from sand bars in coffin bay and surrounding areas. id eat them too
  13. some big smiley fish there! ive lost a couple mates to GWS's and another mate has a bite mark from a bronze whaler, across his chest and thigh. yet i admire and respect them to no end. im facinated by them!!!
  14. hand lines are fantastic on boats! i use to prefer them myself.. now that i dont fish boats very often.. i dont even own a handline.some very nice whiting! ive spent many a day/night camping up there over the years.
  15. The Right price.. is what ever the owner is willing to pass it off for at the time of enquirie..just my way of thinking. ive picked up some absolute bargains on forums previsouly. but also seen some down right insulting offeres given to good people. but if you refer back to my first sentence.. i reckon you cant go wrong..the right price...nowis vastly differente to the price that is right at the time of sale.
  16. hey Yogi.. think you might be mixed up with "school sharks" Scientific: Galeorhinus galeusCommon Name: School SharkOther Names: Eastern School Shark, Snapper Shark, Tope, Soupfin SharkGaleorhinus was previously thought to comprise several different species in different parts of the world, but was recognised as only a single species, Galeorhinus galeus, by Compagno (1984 cited in Stevens 2005).as " Dog sharks" are Port Jackson sharks here..http://www.abyss.com.au/PJs.htmlnever tried to eat them myself.. alwasy throw them back!
  17. all they gotta do is enforce the laws they already have... hwo many times do you see people oding the wrong thing.. specially locally... nto to be racist.. but the asians down at st kilda and also up the power statiion seem to take anything they catch. this sort of thing needs to be stopped before they penalise everyone else for trying to do the right thing
  18. they actually good eating?? when younger we used to see them all the time when spear fishing and also rock fishing.. but never bothered keeping them due to being told they were bad eating
  19. nice work softy.... certainly a better effort than the last time we went out ona charter
